I’ve officially owned my 2004 Lincoln Town Car for roughly 2,500 miles and I just wanted to do a review of all the things I’ve noticed as well as go over some future plans for the car. I haven’t thought much into engine modification stuff, but I definitely have spent some time thinking about rims and other small things to change/upgrade on her!
During the video I ask for your guys opinion on some of the things I’m talking about, so please don’t be afraid to drop a comment on this video on your opinion and what route you think would be best! I always try to read and respond o every comment I get so don’t hesitate to communicate!
Out of all the things mentioned in this video, I think window tint is next. I’m going to try to set up an appointment this week and see what’s available and get a price on everything so that we could finally get it done! As always thanks for checking out the content and leave a comment below!

Sorry about the wind noise! And around 6:09 the video glitches out for a couple seconds I’m not sure how/why that happened so just stay with me! 😂

I have had an 06 for about two years. I’ve taken it from 59,000 miles to 86,000 miles. Driven it sometimes 900 miles at a time. And I just got new shocks and struts and they already wonderful highway ride it had has only gotten even better. I absolutely love this car.

Keep it as it is! Except I would take off the wheel well chrome as dirt will get behind them, they may have scratched the paint already and it could rust behind them. You have a car that can last you many many many years and if you are like me, every time I get behind the wheel I love it even more. They just do not make cruisers like these anymore!! They are the BOMB!

No one ever compared the Town Car to a Rolls. However, it's widely accepted that the Crown Vic/Town Car is one of the most reliable cars to ever roll out of Detroit. It's a pity that no one offers a car like that anymore.

Congratulations! Your now the proud owner of a good condition, low mileage, old man's American dream car. I recently acquired a 2014 Lincoln Navigator "L" and it has retained many of the Lincoln styling hallmarks. Same light (stone) color interior with real wood grain accents, still has an in dash analogue clock, a cigarette ash tray and lighter. Lincolns and Cadillacs always had standard features that were a few years ahead of other vehicles. Yes! old men drove them because they weren't stupid. This is the highways cruiser that people in the northern states and Canada bought to make the round trip to Florida and Arizona every winter. Smooth, quiet, luxurious comfort that can be depended upon. You can drive this for 6 or 8 hours and get out at the end, not feeling like you just returned from the International Space Station and need to learn how to walk again. Leave the chrome and a little bling (not as bad as an Escalade)....it's a Lincoln! ....embrace it! You could Dremel sand the alcoves of the rims to remove anything that's flaking and black out just the alcoves with paint, wrap or plastidip in flat or gloss black and still retain most of the stock look. That's also reversible if you ever wanted to re-chrome the rims completely at a later date. Expensive process, but cheaper than buying new rims. Here in Canada, I've always driven full sized rear wheel vehicles and never experienced any issues. The Navigator is 4WD and I think I engaged 4WD once last winter when driving an unplowed country road. As the new owner of a vehicle that may have sat for a while, I would recommend that you change all the fluids (not just the oil), including a transmission drain & fill, coolant and brake fluid. Change the fan belt(s) and have the battery fully tested and you'll be good to go.

Thank you! I’m a big fan of the Navigators as well, especially the newer body styles. Such nice trucks. I actually am the type of person that prefers large SUV’s as my car, but the prices lately of cars has gotten ridiculous! If this KZfaq channel picks up in the future and I start making some decent money off posting videos, I think I’ll invest in another vehicle in the future to do videos on for the channel. A Lincoln Navigator might have to be that vehicle 👀

You have a CDL and you seem like a straight up dude! Get a second vehicle that you can afford that gets you through the winter and drive that badass Lincoln on nice days ✌️👊

That’s always been a thought too. Just like a nice beater to mess around with in the winter. I guess we’ll see what the future holds 👍🏼

Owned my 08 Signature Limited for around 18 months. took it from 58k to 68k and loved every mile. Recently traded it in for a Jag XJ and still miss this car - I did transmission and diff service with coolant, brake, power steering and a couple of oil changes and thats it during my 18 months (probably didnt even need to do some of that either but wasn't sure how long id keep it). I used to be able to get 22mpg reliably on highway runs and 16-17mpg when driving around town, on regular gas too so not bad at all.

I swapped out the radio bc the 2011 doesnt have cassette player but one of my 2011 somehow had a dealer installed sat nav and ipod 3rd gen connectivity. So I upgraded that. One of my 2011 did not have the HID headlights - so I added LEDs DRLS,low beams and LED turnsignals (which blink normally, got it from a company in CA that only produces LED turn signals). I also added LED back up lights. One of my next mod is going to be the back up camera, i actually found a custom part that integrates well and makes it look like it came with one stock. In terms of rims I think yours has the best look and style. These were discontinued in 2007 or 2008 I think. I would get the continental edition chrome rims from 2010-2011 and kick the white walls out, they're getting really hard to find - always out of stock. I am leaving the chrome trim but here in CA it rains twice a year so not worried about rust. The worst for these cares is to just sit. The one that had 29k miles... GEEZ so many thing to change : fuel sending unit, power steering, power lock... the car had been sitting for far too long.

Thanks for the info. I heard that it’s actually fairly simple to find the OEM HID headlight assemblies that Lincoln made for these cars too, so that might be a route I take. Thanks for checking it out!

I totally agree. I work from home now and don't drive as often as I used to. When I do, I try and make sure my Marquis gets driven for a while. It's always important to have any older low-mileage car checked out by a professional before buying as you are correct in thar it will most likely require at least some servicing for sitting for so long. Some dealers and private parties take advantage of this by charging premium prices as a result. It depends on how well taken care it has been.

The car will lose its value if the visual authenticity is violated. If you switch to wheels that are larger than 17 inches, you will experience a deterioration in ride quality and comfort. White stripes on the tires visually make the rims larger, so if you look at 17's with white stripes, they look like 19's. Therefore, white stripes not only give a classic design, but also convert the wheels from 17 to 19 inches. Even if the disk is black, the white stripe will create visual harmony.

Hi Nick, I would leave her STOCK Man, once you change rims all kinds of crap can go wrong. On my 2007 I just ordered wider white walls on brand new Hankook Tires, the stock ones are 1/4 Inch, like yours and I think they are too narrow, I am going up to 1 Inch and I expect it to make the Beautiful Chrome stock wheels POP. I will let you know how they look once I get them. I am also keeping my Chrome Wheel Fender Swoops on and the Rocker Panel Chrome as well, I Just love all the BLING. :) I would not Tint either because then to me it makes the car look so Non Factory at that point and you lose the originality, I know the sun can damage the Inside, but try to garage or cover her as much as you can. Just my Opinions, she is Beautiful man and will last you long if you keep taking care of her. !!!!

PLEASE let me know about the hankook tires as I’ve heard mixed reviews on them! You could always find my email in the description of my videos as well. Send me a picture of your Town car via email once you get the new tires installed. I’d love to see how it looks. Maybe I’ll do that same route on my TC! I’m hoping that if I go with a 20% tint it won’t be too dark. I like the idea of the privacy and it protecting the interior when the car is not in the garage. At the end of the day, window tint is always easily removable as well so if in the future I sell the TC and the new owner wants to remove it, they could do it no problem! Thanks again John I look forward to seeing your 07 😎
