I can’t imagine how difficult (yet possibly beautiful) doing her hair and nails for the last time was. A lot of people wouldn’t have honored that promise. Props to you for doing so.

Bonnie I have been watching you since Lincoln was a baby and I don’t always comment but I felt compelled to comment. I adore your family. What a beautiful send off you gave Aunt Linda. As a Mother of a special needs Adult daughter this brought tears to my eyes. I had to smile when you all arrived at the funeral the same time. Tour family are always so supportive of each other and that’s something you don’t see that often these days. You’re all the epitome of Class, love, faith and a beautiful example of what a family should be. Thank you for sharing A. Linda’s funeral with us. We all loved her!! ❤️❤️❤️

The way you cared for her and your whole family took care of her was more than words can say. So special. I can’t wait to go home and be with my little baby again, but until then, I am here with my other baby and sweet husband. I love you guys SO stinkin’ much. 💗💗

Aunt Linda's reason for not getting married! 🤣😂 Days after viewing this, I'm still laughing and getting joy out of her basic wisdom on nuptuals! O, I tear up to know that she shared her daily pain with her brother, Chad after so joyfully seeing him home again...but she's also left a legacy of joy, laughter and facing "the basics of life without fear." Thank you, Lord for Aunt Linda's life, and thank you Aunt Linda for all the laughs and so much joy in loving family and friends. Thank you, Bonnie and "Mark" for sharing your process of letting go tenderly and joyfully. The "Families Can Be Together Forever" moved me so much. You have the final goal in mind. 💖

This is such a beautiful story and one that Bonnie will remember and cherish the rest of her life. I have a similar one with my grandmother. I held her as she passed and I wouldn't change the ending. We sat for weeks and talked about life, death, the after life and of course her funeral and wake. She was a registered nurse all of her adult life and she worked in the emergency room of a busy hospital. When she retired from nursing, she and her husband opened an art gallery just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. I helped them close it just before she passed away. After she passed she wanted me to do her hair as well. Twenty years ago you had to be a licensed cosmetologist to even do the hair of a deceased person, but the funeral home made an exception in our case. It is so important for people to talk openly about this process and plan for it. The passing is then done with far less stress and far less sadness. We should rejoice in our elders' memories and also cherish the time towards the end, because it couldn't be more beautiful of an experience. I since have held my grandpa and many others as I volunteer with hospice now. Goodbye, Aunt Linda. We will miss you and also rejoice in your memory. ❤ 🕊️🙇🙏

I was close with my aunt the way you were with Aunt Linda. Her name was Mandy and she was 45 years old when Covid took her from us. She had a 16 year old and a 6 year old. It’s been so horrible and hard on our family. What I wouldn’t give to have the adult time you had with your aunt. You are so lucky and I admire how you took care of her. When my mom passed 11yrs ago I insisted on going to paint her nails and help get her ready.
