I changed my mind about a few of the plantings on my front porch from a previous video, and I thought you might enjoy seeing how it is coming together and my thinking behind the process.

Very lush window box! Foliage is so important. Love your use of potted up plants all over your gardens. They really add interest and uniqueness.

Wonderful tour and much good thought-process information. The clusters of pots snuggling with each other are pleasing and abundant looking, and the airy display of pots along the top of the wall are equally good. The pots along the top of the wall give just an added bit of 'insinuated privacy' while also being little individual specimens on display! It all fits together so beautifully.

You said grab a coffee, I went for tea, took less time. Really enjoy seeing your property. This yr I'm trying to have different flowers in the same hues in my pots, hoping it's an interesting mix, and a nice cohesive look.

Thank you for the your Linda, always enjoy your videos. I have been in my home for forty three years and it doesn’t come close to looking as well as yours. Think looking back I needed more trees but have a pool and was afraid of roots and leaves.

Only boxwood I can find in my area are Wintergreen boxwood. They all look to have several small stems. Can I find the best one and snip all the others off? I would love to try and turn them into a topiary. Thank you for all your wonderful videos! You are my inspiration ❤

Linda is that a suitcase or picnic basket of ivy I see? How beautiful! It looks like one could just walk up on it in a forest somewhere! I have a picnic basket I usually put impatiens in but I think I might try some ivy this year!

I'm trying my hand at topiary, and I finally got up the courage to clip may unruly potted boxwoods into spheres. I'm happy to report they are looking pretty good but definitely need to grow fuller and tighten up. How often should I clip them or, rather, when will I know to clip them? Immediately upon seeing new growth (which is weekly) or when they get sort of shaggy? Your topiary series inspired me, and I learned so much. Thanks you!

To anyone wondering about those obelisk/pillars over the boxwood topiary I just bought 2 identical to them this year at a local garden center. They were very affordable and feel really sturdy. Here is the tag info: the brand is Wrought Iron Collections by Border Concepts, Inc. Item #72202, the 42" Plant Pillar

So I have just moved to Amelia Island which is the most northeast corner of Florida (some people think it is off of Georgia)... anyway, my question is, in this new house, I have morning sun on my front deck til about noon, and I would love to put 2 topiaries flanking the front door - what type would you suggest that can take 4 to 5 hours of sun and thanks , love 💕 your channel, so happy to have found it - my best, DJ

I am planting 1 gallon boxwoods in containers. As they grow does the steam grow as well and do you just keep removing bottom leaves? Is there anywhere I would clip that would make it do something weird like stop growing upward and branch up. I know if you cut the leader off a tree it can do that. 😊 when I picked them out at the nursery they felt like one stem but when I looked at them at home to clip they actually branched off...dang.

Linda, The porch is beautiful almost beyond the words I can think of! I have 2 important (to me) questions to ask you and I hope you will respond. One: What is the size of your window box height, width. and depth? Made of ? Legs or attached to the brick? Two: In you concrete planters how do you have drainage? Do you make holes. if so how, what do you use to make them? You can yell I am new to the concept of containers but I am trying to learn and you have a amazing example of verity but concrete pots that I have don't have holes. Please help me so I can begin a new type of gardening on a small scale. Thank you so much!!! I am a new subscriber and am LOVING every minute with you and just gazing at the beauty you have creates!!! Have a great Memorial Day!!! Thanks, Marian
