Line Art, Inking, and Rulers/Assistants - CSP to Krita Transition Tutorial

Of course you can't talk about CSP without their Vector inking tools. Unfortunately, Krita doesn't have this functionality, but there are some workarounds as well as Rulers/Assistants that could help you make the line you really want make.

krita has vector layers. you just have to press the down arrow next to the plus button when adding another layer, it gives you a variety of layer types including vector. the top four tools on the toolbox docker are all vector tools

Yea I didn't get to clarify that, I was moreso referring to vector tools that CSP has such as a vector brush, eraser, grow and shrink vector line tool etc. But yes, outside of that, Krita is capable of making vector shapes, paths, and typography stuff :) thanks for pointing it out!

Do you know how to change the size of a pre-existing line? I've been trying to look it up but i can't find any solid answers/ tutorials. Love your videos and can't wait to see more!

what you can do is use one of the distortion tools at 00:40 but besides that, I don't think theres any other way to change a preexisting line, sadly

One of Kritas weaknesses is since it uses raster images as brushes is that as brush changes size it also changes brushes image resolution, change in resolution is more noticeable especially when canvas is smaller and image used for brush is of lower resolution with soft edges. For line art I'd recommend a large res hard brush on larger canvas to increase sharpness. I admit if not using clip studio I would probably use medibang or AzDrawing or Paint tool Sai don't use Krita for its inking abilities.
