My Thoughts on Lineage 2
Lineage 2 was extremely popular and still is, kind of. The playerbase is scattered in thousands of privates servers throughout the world, they left in the first place because Lineage 2 was not the same anymore, they didn't like the new updates and the game got really "Pay to Win" and they prefer a more Classic version of the game, it's not the same as before but it's better than anything. the majority of the playerbase left the official servers and go to private servers but... eventually, they'll get bored of playing the same chronicle over and over, and this makes Lineage 2 a game which you might play it for weeks or months and then leave it, and then come back, and then leave again and come back again, because of one thing, nostalgia.
If you haven't played Lineage 2 before and you wanna play it right now you will not have the same experience as the veterans players because the game changed a lot since then... that's why there are private and classic servers, and not all of them survive for too long.
I will never forget all the hours of grinding I had in this game, It's was a long... epic... nostalgic... emotional... magical journey...

Sólo las personas que lo hayan jugado por años lo entenderán, la nostalgia de las canciones, tantas horas jugando, entre miles de otras cosas que contiene el juego, lo cual esas personas nunca van a olvidar... este juego tiene mucho poder nostálgico, sinceramente para mi, es uno de los mejores MMORPG de la historia, con un soundtrack que llega al alma y con una historia que da mucho que pensar, uno de los mejores soundtrack en la historia de los videojuegos, yo mismo, escribí algo así como esto pero como el triple de largo, y ya la descripción era tan larga que no me dejaba guardarla, para que entiendan que de verdad este juego en su tiempo era increíble... podría escribir un libro de toda mi aventura en Lineage 2 que hasta este día lo sigo recordando. Agradezco a la persona que se tomó unos minutos para leer esto, gracias por entenderme.

I remember the time when I first came to Dion. So poor that I sat and beg for money. People gave me some Adena. I believed in people in Lineage II more than in real life. Good old days

In no other game did I have a connection like I had with those in my Lineage 2 clan. Unfortunately, everyone went their separate ways. I still talk to some of these people after more than 12 years but most of the others are just people that I used to know.

I am from America, played Lineage 2 for over 15 years. My first years playing C1-C5 was all on European servers (Devianne and Teon) . I still to this day talk with many of my friends in Europe that I met in Lineage 2. I traveled to meet these people also. It was one of the best experiences in my life.

This game is the reason I am the person I am. It might sound crazy,but I was educated by L2. I learned English all from L2,I got used to helping people,as I am now helping in real life and many more stuff all from L2. The nostalgia I'm feeling listening to the soundtracks is so strong....Thank you old L2 players,it was a pleasure!

I share so much with you my friend. I used to live in a god forsaken town and through this game I met a lot of friends, many to whom I still talk nowadays. My english improved and I decided to move to a bigger city with people that had similar thinking to me. I decided to study Literature (with focus on Renaissance and Medieval Literature) and to this day I still shed a tear every time I remember my adolescence playing Lineage II. It's so amazing to see how many people it's touched. The system of the game was very unique to me, with a lot of interacting with other players, barganing and mantaining diplomacy. I send you my best wishes from Argentina!

Столько эмоций и воспоминаний, любую узнаю и через 50 лет. Двоякие чувства, вроде проебал лучшие годы своей жизни на эту игру, а как услышишь эти звуки - кажется все бы отдал, что бы туда вернуться.

Вот именно по поводу этой игры у меня нет ощущения, что проебал, я бы провел то время точно так же. Ни секунды не жалею.. То что принесло бурю эмоций и без пагубных последствий - бесцено! Это как лагерь, по сути занимаешься ведь фигней, а ведь сколько эмоций, и будешь вспоминать всю жизнь...

I almost started crying when heard this music again...i have played it 2005-2013. Later Tera, Archeage, Black desert. Now we have beautiful graphic, modern mechanics, but no one give me such impresessions and sleepless nights as L2. Unforgetable, miss you old times !!!

new games are all about instances and solo gameplay w/o even tank, healer or support classes. Lineage was about friendship, guild, open world and epic bosses :)

Tengo 33 años, llegué a tu video y me sentí de 15 nuevamente, recordando los momentos que viví junto a mi clan en L2. Como bien dices, es una carga nostálgica de un tiempo mejor. En este juego concoí a mis mejores amigos, tuve amores y momentos muy felices, como otros sumamente tristes con la partida temprana de este mundo, con quienes jugué y rendimos merecido homenaje en el servidor. Muchas gracias por este pedacito de recuerdo que a miles nos ha llegado al corazón.

Просто Вау. Никогда не писал комментарии, но, как же это прекрасно. 3 часа ночи, я сижу, со слезами на глазах, слушаю этот потрясающий саунд. Сразу вспоминаю все те моменты которые пережил сидя в л2, все те квесты - поиск квестовых орков за эльфов, квест на волка с тестом на знание, на кукабару с покупкой молота кузнеца; первые пвп, сражения около ворот Диона и Глудио, осады, первые шмотки Д ранга после длительного гринда, первый клан, фарм ящеров и пауков около Глудио, прекрасный завораживающий город на воде Хейн и восхитильный Годдард, первый перс Хавк, и первый дуалы на Глада. Первый спойлер сидящий на островке, ждущий Мастера Тома второй по счёту раз, деревня гномов с её барыгами ресурсами) и боже, мой просто любимейший ОСТ [ Dwarven Village OST ] - райское наслаждение.Хай Файв хроники с камалоками, которые каждый день я был рад посещать вместе со своим братом - гномом кузнецом. Первые рейды, на которые длительное время я уговаривал мой клан взять меня. Первые епики. Моё первое B грейд оружие - Ice Storm Hammer, которое я умудрился потерять в первые же дни его получения. Все эти скамеры и обманщики, которых я вовсе не ненавижу , ведь в этом всем был какой-то шарм, быть обманутым первый раз в л2 - невероятный опыт и наука на будущеё. Все за что я действительно любил и продолжаю любить л2. Только эта лишь игра мне смогла доказать что воспоминание , это то, что всегда будет согревать тебе душу в её самые плохие дни и то, чём ты обязан дорожить, ведь игра может стать хуже или вовсе пропасть, но не воспоминания... Воистину невероятная ММОРПГ, просто, спасибо тебе за прекрасное детство, которое изо дня в день я могу частично пережить лишь слушая этот ОСТ. Об этом всём можно говорить бесконечно, сколько же приятных моментов принесла мне эта игра, и столько же прекрасных историй, которые я бы хотел рассказать своим внукам). сейчас все еще полно серваков ла2, если для тебя это такая крутая прекрасна игра - качай, регистрируйся и играй.... а на мой взгляд основа игры это задротство и скучное тыкание мобов, конечно в ла2 было много и интересных моментов, но все же есть гораздо улчшие игры

Yop at servers in my country there was max 1800 players at once but still enough to enjoy the game to the fullest And humanity need to use blackholes and somehow mirrors to go back in time SO I CAN PLAY THIS MASTERPIECE ONCE AGAIN ( also chage most of my bad choices to make my life completely better,BUT I WILL SURELY GO TO THAT LOVELY SERVER AND PLAY IT 24/7 WITH MY FAVOURITE CLASS!)

when i saw my sister with the keyboard , controlling human mage, my eyes became huge like from the pill , i didn't even want to leave the talking island , for me it was bliss ceiling , but when i spot mainland , i forgot about real life for 10 years :D so miss this time .If just i could forget this game and explore it again, I would repeat it for sure..

This is the best music in the history of the world. Not just because I love L2, I think I loved L2 all the more because of this music. I still log in to private servers just to run around the game world and remember. This music reminds me of good times in life, when there's so much reason to hate life... If there is such a thing as a human soul, this music speaks to mine in a certain way no other music does.

The music, the scenery, the people, the nights spent not sleeping, the pks, the castle sieges, the trades, the running around, the portals, the level quests..... it was like a dream, a fantasy, a travel around the world on foot that led you to many adventures. This was the greatest game ever made to date. The ones that were crying that "it's a grind fest" missed out. World of warcraft was kiddy play next to this game. I've been looking for a game that was like this but none have come close.

my friends played it during c3-c4. Every day in the school they talked about it. I didnt play any PC games then, but their stories were so cool to listen to. Every day new adventures. I asked, how can i join. Oh boy. I was gone from real life for like 10 years. I regret nothing. :D

Douglas Davis, a good friend I used to play this game with for 8 years. Amazing guy, and even greater friend. Died in a motorcycle accident in 2017. This music brings back all the jokes, farming and pvping with him on this game. Rest in Paradise my friend.

Мне 21, от ностальгии готов пусть слезу. Я помню 2007, когда еще в младших классах учился, прогуливал школу чтобы сходить в компьютерный клуб и поиграть в л2. Очень много времени провел в игре, пока сверстники давились ягуаром в подъездах. Ни капли не жалею, что половину жизни отдал игре. Очень много радостных и очень печальных моментов связанных с л2, думаю тут каждый с этим столкнулся. В 16 году ушел в армию и после армии совсем стало не до игр, но все равно проскальзывают воспоминания, которые переворачивают во мне все. Бывает запущу клиент л2 и бегу в Forrest of mirrors к водопаду. Всем счастья! Родные

nothing, NOTHING! has ever made me feel like being a newbie in lineage 2 the year long journey i took was and is one of the best experiences i have had in my life. Yeah mastering the game and killing raids taking castles having best gear is Ok. But growing up to that is the biggest joy.

I was playing 10+ hours a day, gained 10 kgs and failed university cause of this game years ago.Would definitely do all those mistakes again in a hearbeat just to relive the golden c3-c4 era again.Fucking nostalgia is overwhelming.Good old times that will never ever come again:)

Честно говоря, очень тяжело слышать музыку из игры, которой отдал практически 10 лет своей жизни. Эх, столько воспоминаний, столько чувств и эмоций. Помню, как только пришёл на сервер и не было адены даже на соски :) Помню как гонялся за ящерами под Глудио, помню как сливали в ПК всякие гадские личности, вспоминаю тот момент когда в Валери Хантер оказался первый раз и как на радостях от такой красоты напал на Сатира... огрёб знатно и первый раз упал от моба :) Помню первый свой клан и КХ в Гиране, противные 60-70 лвлы, качь сабов/твинков... Прошли годы и я смог позволить себе практически все эпики (серьгу антараса так и не удалось купить, дорогая зараза), прокачал шмот, пуху, поиграл в топ кланах, побывал везде и всюду :) на всех РБ, познакомился со множеством разных людей... Но увы, всему рано или поздно приходит конец. Прошло уже почти полгода как я не играю в Линейку, но бывают моменты, когда снова хочется вступить в пати и пойти фармить мобов или участвовать в ПиВиПи. Жаль, что время проведённое в Линейке пролетело так быстро. Но я всегда буду помнить Линейку и то беззаботное время, что провёл играя в неё.

i start play this when game just came out, still remember that i was using a tank from lv1-29 with out soul shots and saving 1 mil adena after month played bought a mid D grade bow and reroll a archer and used that bow lvl till 65......was good time maybe once in a life time, now im playing classic trying to get back some good memories

I really enjoyed the game, I remember mostly the Siege and Raid boss. When I played in Vietnam server, Giran castle was the most valuable because people opened vendors in Giran town. When siege time came, everyone, I mean everyone including new players joined in and watched those epic moments. Back of the days, lag was a part of the joys. I like old chronicle L2, couldn't farm without party, a lot of events like lottery ticket- racing pet- clan vs clan to occupy farming base in cruma tower, tombs,-.....

So many hours spent in game, so many people met, so much angry, happiness felt... This game was a incredible experience to me. Played for many many years on Teon and it was the the second happinest period in my life, the firsr one are my children born.

No MMORPG can compete with L2. I never found another immersive, poetic, difficult, deep, friendly title. L2 in my heart!

This game destroyed my wish to play any mmo. Every try to find some new good game after all this years brings me back to old l2. Its not because we are old players or cant try smth new. Those days was so beautiful because we was playing the best MMO, and that old l2 is still the best and the only game with soul. The only game allows you to make your own story, made for players by people, who was leading by the great idea. Missing it so much :"(

new games are shit. I tried so many of them. No support classes, no healeing classes. Even no tank classes. No crafting system. No buffs. Very limited openworld with many instances. No interaction between players at all. Its sad.

Ame este juego por varios años. Hoy lo recuerdo con nostalgia, me encantaba recorrer los paisajes del juego y escuchar su musica. Mis pj favoritos eran el necromanser y el warlord. Hice varios amigos de diferentes países en este juego. Hoy en día uso la musica para dormir en las noches. Muchas gracias l2.

Казалось бы, музыка - вот она, сервера - на любой вкус. Но все уже не то, все уже не так, играют иначе, все делается иначе. Осатеться только вспоминать времена былого величия проэкта. Господи, как же она затягивала, как же это было здорово. А музыка каждый раз в дрожь бросает. Верните 2004, я хочу назад :(

This gives me such a nostalgic feeling, I started this game when I was 10 I'm 13 now I've loved being with a clan and having support from them, and communicating with people global. It's truly a awesome experience, this game has made so many memories for me. It truly has been an experience for me with this game..
