Divorce don't take the place of not wanting to cook. I didn't cook when I first got married, I was the youngest of 6 siblings so they did all the cooking. So that was no need to cook. But when I got married my husband did all of the cooking at the beginning years of our married. He taught me a lot of cooking recipes. I as spoiled as a child, so sisters did all the cooking. So now I do the cooking for my husband. But he still likes to cook. He comes from a family of 17 siblings so he was in the kitchen with his mother all the time. It should not matter if the wife don't cook but she can learn how cook. Love makes a marriage.

I feel that the generations coming up suffer from "delusional expectations" that contribute to failed marriages. Ideally marriage is a partnership that should include communication, transparency and love. If you say you love someone, why then burden them with the version of them that you have in your head. Why punish them when they fall short of it? I love that you said you see something you don't wait for the other. We forget that when our partner loses, we lose too. So let's build each other up! I married for love. We were young and we grew together had 4 great kids was together for 44 great years he passed 8 years I lost my best friend and husband my lover. Every woman is not the best at cooking, cleaning (etc). Every man is not good at fixing things or fixing cards. Always see yourself as a unit.
