Interesting. I struggle a tad bit with the recovery so what I'll do is try the delayed detonate. I feel like I would often go too early and end up getting myself killed.

Hey, I know this is old advice, but I greatly appreciate it. Ive gotten pretty good at tech timing, but it's always seemed futile in attempting at high percents. This comment alone has extended my teching window by a huge margin.

I often find that when I actually NEED to bomb recover, it’s when I’m knocked very horizontally off the stage making it hard to do a bomb recovery since there is little room to fall. Do you have a recommendation of how to practice this on my own? Maybe a character that has a side smash that sends at a low angle? I don’t know any examples though. Also, do we know what causes Link to drop bombs when getting hit? It happens to me a lot.

Ganondorf's forwars tilt seems to send u off the stage in a pretty low angle, u could use that to practice I guess

Don't drop the bomb the very instant you can, you need to wait for at least one frame

When your character is in the air, you drift by moving the joystick left or right to move in your chosen direction. You can also use it to propel yourself even further after being launched, slow down the speed at which you were launched, or set up attacks. Basically, it's controlling your character's aerial movements.

Yes absolutely:) i use switch pro controller. as long as you're able to press grab and down B reaaaally fast then you should be able to do it with any controller.

@@thomasv.2383 pressing the grab button will instantly drop the bomb if your control stick is set to neutral (you're not touching it) but will throw the bomb if you input a direction.

the harder methods allow you to recover faster, and to save your double jump. Both of which are extremely good when trying to not get edgeguarded
