It's a guitar plugged into a pedal and then into the microphone plug on my laptop. The pedal was either a boss ds-1 or the digitech death metal pedal. I can't remember what software i used back then, but now i use Mixcraft

@DanneyManney Thanks for the tips, I apreciated your help. My main problem is muting the strings, the E string muted with my midle finger sounds like a harmonic, it's anoyying. I don't have a good chamera right now, but thanks anyway.

@JAREDTHECOOL1 first i recorded the guitar track over the original song ( i still need some pointers how to do that perfectly or a different way of recording) then i just with the song while i record myself. then i sync them but i fucked them all up with syncing. anyhow there's an option to splitscreen somewhere in sony vegas, which i've used. i hope this is useful for you :)

I gave drop Db (drop C# on my online tuner) and used power chords, im teaching my friend the power chords and im doing the and g strings and we're both doing the bridge, we're ending out with the live version solo (by me) and my friends continues the bridge until the solo is just about over

Tune correctly if you meant it like that. put your '''finger next to thumb'' on the 5 and the ring or pinky finger on the 7 and mute all other strings with your middle finger, it almost looks like a ''fuck you'' you can PM me a video of you trying to make it easier for me to give you pointers ;)
