LP signed with WB for the first time because it was pretty much all they could get (one of their friends worked their and helped them out). But i have no idea why they signed again in 2003.

Chester did say that the new album was leaning to a sound in between the first 2 and MTM like this instrumental, but we can't confirm anything.

No but he made it during the 4th album wrighting sessions so I call it a 4th album demo. and besides, we don't know if they might decide to make a full studio version and put it on the 4th album (as unlikely as it is).

No. It'll be released on May 18, but don't expect it to sound anything like HT or Meteora styles, since it's for a movie, and will have a lot of synths and stuff like on MTM, but that doesn't mean the album will too.

All albums were mainstream lol (especially HT). They said they'd be oing something genre busting, and from what I've heard in interviews, I'm guessing it'll have alot of techno stuff going on and I can almost garantee that there will be alot of rapping in this one. So it may go heavy (as in heavier than MTM). If you've heard New Divide, I'd expect it'd have some elements similar to that "NIN-like" breakdown.

COME BACK!!!! we want to hear stuff like their first two albums! man this band will disappoint us a LOT if they redo what they did in "Minutes To Midnight"...

Btw, Mike said in an interview that the new album will probably have more rap. He said he has that "Fort Minor thing" comin out of him or w/e. lol.

Mike said that if they had picked 12 different tracks for the album that was not on the album (even though they only had 5 completely done that weren't on the album) MTM would've been full of rap.

HT is their most popular album dude and sold over 20 million records. So yes, it's definitly mainstream. I think the word your looking for is sold out, in which no, non of their albums are. Obviously New Divide isn't (cause it's already released...) and we all know Lockjaw was for the LPU. That's why I put 4th apbum sessions because that's when they recorded and of course it gets me more views. lol

You don't have to be angry to be heavy. Take Deftones' Hexagram for example. 4. They said the new album would be closer to New Divide which had PLENTY of DJ effects. 5. Not simple? You need to look at New Divide, Given up, No More Sorrow, and What I've done. Verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus...simple.

Hey do you think that's why LP is a commercial band thanks to their label? cause seriously, I think linkin park makes music cause they enjoy making music not because they want to make money. They make music they enjoy and good if other ppl enjoys there work as well. A perfect example is Minutes To Midnight. If Linkin Park was one of those bands, that make music just to make money, they would of stayed with their old sound which everyone loved.

Im not saying ppl didn't like as much MTM cause MTM was also a success.

MTM wasn't emo. It was alternative except for maybe a few songs like In Peices or something.

That's what I kinda think. There are some styles that I don't like because it might be too boring or something, but I think ppl don't like bands like LP, or LB (even though I don't like LB all that much) because of a combination between what you said, and how many views they have (or used to have now that WB had to be greedy bitches) on their videos.

Well, I know they took off the vids on LP's page because of a disagreement with their rights. And Mike some of the LP crew are trying to help a little with the sueing. I don't know about Deftones but they probably took their vids off because of the same reason they took off LP's vids.

nah they're just trying to make the music they like instead of what everybody is demanding them, which ppl mistake for them being sellout even though giving the fans what they want is being sellout. If your trying to get Nu Metal from them for this album...well your probably ganna get ur hopes up too high. They're probably ganna make music more closer to Alternative but closer to HT or Meteora stuff than MTM was.

I know. I think LP should just leave the music labels and produce their albums themselves. They're popular enough to get ppl to buy their CDs. But idk about the Deftones. They're probably ganna have to stay with WB for a while.

I thought it was the 4th best. Well, anyway, they probably won't need to do it, since everybody starting to revert back to the Nu Metal scene (thank God). Don't worry about J Bros or Hannah Montanna, because they'll probably start using drugs and then get caught driving while intoxicated and so on.

They already took off the Deftones music vids. They also removed most of LP's LiT and all of LP's music videos except Bleed it Out wich is on their channel. But WB really showed their bitchyness when they sued this guy and his website (linkinpark-it which is a pretty big fan site) for making vids that have LP songs. Not like they'll win but it's pretty much saying "We're in charge and we can do w/e the hell we want".
