I do agree with you, I use to do O gauge trains and then later I quit o gauge trains and that’s when I became a American flyer s gauge enthusiast and the stupidest thing is that no one in the model train community doesn’t give two shits about s gauge and or American flyer and I just wish more people would admire it more it’s just so sad 😞 that’s it’s the most overlooked and underrated model trains in model train history.

⁠​⁠@@carolinarailfanproductionsin my opinion the most overlooked ones are modern standard gauge. Anyway I think that while a lot of them are overpriced I did like how Lionel did try something that wasn’t the same as usual and did make models of the triplex. Also I do know that more than a few people did decide to get the war bonnet version of the Santa Fe steam locomotive. Something that Lionel does that I think is at least a little creative is when they do modern remakes of prewar and postwar sets, think the state set the pre-war inspired electric freight set, the postwar inspired fa green diesel passenger train and the space and military themed stuff that are remakes of the stuff from late postwar Lionel era stuff. Maybe I’m just easily satisfied though

@@carolinarailfanproductions I’m not sure if this would count as being new but I think it’s been 20 years since Lionel made a Pennsylvania T1 and with the t1 trust making good progress on finishing the building of PRR 5550 we could see them deciding to make new models of the PRR T1’s. Considering both Lionel and MTH both made special models of big boy 4014 with sounds and special details when the real 4014 was restored in 2019 then it’s not a farfetched idea that they could do a similar thing when 5550 is completed.

No offense it’s a great model but forgive me for saying this but it’s not the model that’s bad, it’s the price tag 💰🏷 on it, and apparently Lionel is somehow addicted to making their models extremely pricey and it’s very ridiculous that they do that and I just don’t understand why they do that.

@@carolinarailfanproductions Yeah, that's what I also said in my comment in the "( )" part. I wish it was cheaper because I love that locomotive so much! Especially because there are barely any models of it!

Realistic liveries on locos the real railroad didn't have (e.g. Santa Fe SD40T-2 and Alaska Veranda)? Yes. Fantasy liveries (entirely or more-or-less) on anything? Mostly misses with a few hits here and there.

Because Money 💰 and second I’m a American flyer enthusiast and collector so that’s why I have to show American flyer s gauge trains.

@user-eg5mg4fo1m Well at least the brand new Lego Orient Express Train can fix that maybe idk because we never had a amazing Lego train since they released the Crocodile Electric Locomotive back in 2020 three years ago. Since 2020 we never had a single good Lego train since then which is fricken stupid. I’m tired of these stupid City trains like come on Lego for gods sake please give us good Lego trains.

@carolinarailfanproductions Well they do have safety valve steam, blow down steam and best of all depleting coal load put together. So who can possibly forget these?

Sometimes they are cool but often times they can be either weird and sometimes not fitting to certain engines like that happened to that Union Pacific challenger that was painted in a weird yellow & Rusty Red paint livery.

@@carolinarailfanproductions do you mean the 49er paint scheme? That one makes sense as it is another UP based train. Take example the BLI made Blue Goose. The first run had three fantasy schemes. A freight black version and a black with aluminum stripe like the goose had. Both were ATSF lettered so it made sense. The third was B&O and made no sense. This run has the LV John Wilkes and makes no sense. Like I said, executed correctly works. Totally out there like the B&O and LV on an ATSF engine doesn’t.
