I watched a lot of test videos about this knife. In your video, the sharpness and toughness of this knife are enough for daily use! But I also watched bloggers in other languages. One of them had a hard time cutting wet branches with M5! But his other brand of knife was very sharp. This made me not know the specific strength of this knife. Well, anyway, I have placed an order and hope I will not be disappointed. Your video is great, thank you

@@Johnny-el4pl thank you. Some of it might be skill or lack there of too or how much it’s been used without sharpening

@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors I think so, but the online store says it is ready to use right out of the box. Can you do some testing on Turkish knives? They are very handmade there. Thank you

You can get sparks out of a Ferro rod just tilting the knife a little, using the edge created by the round spine and the flat of the blade. Check it out

I tried that numerous times. Absolutely nothing. I know I got it to work on the TRC but not this one

M5 & T5 are both excellent. Lionsteel M5 (k&t 3V) T5 White river ursus 45 TRC South pole Esee laser strike Some of my favorite compact camp blades.

It’s a lovely knife 🔪. I have the t5 in black. With the black sheath. I also have the T6 in and The M7. I have never used it though I don’t want to mess it up. So I have to get another one to use. I really love the look and feel of it.

You should use them. I don’t think a knife has character unless if it’s used

I have the 3V exclusive version. It really is a great knife, regardless of which steel you get. I'd like to check out the T5 as well. Lionsteel makes some very good fixed blades!

I really like my M5. I have put it through a lot of hard use and it takes it like a champ. The Sleipner steel is surprisingly tough and holds an edge really well. The M4 is a really great knife as well.
@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors3 ай бұрын
I agree. The M4 was a bit thick behind the edge for my liking but it was a tanky lil blade. I like the m2m better. The m5 is awesome

I’m considering this to be my next EDC. I’m an over the road trucker and steel hauler. Not only would this be a good camp knife but I believe a good work/defense knife. I run all 48 states so I’m concerned a knife this size as an everyday carry could land me in trouble I’m not sure. Does anyone else EDC this knife?
@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors3 ай бұрын
For edc I’d suggest something a lil smaller. From Lionsteel the M2M would be great but also the White River FC3.5 would be great too. I have a favorite EDC fixed blade video too

No sharp spine is a 100% win, I'd rather see knife companies go back to making rounded spines again. They could easily grind out a 1 to 2 inch flat for both worlds and win both users over. Usually, the first thing I do to a knife is remove the 90° spine from 80% of the blade. I make notches and do way too much carving to keep them sharp, especially over the belly to the tip area. I reviewed that China made Flissa Bushcraft Knife and it cut my thumb open, I couldn't carve for a few days cause of it. That freaking $25 D2 scandi is probably the best budget bushcraft knife I've seen. ...but screw that fricken communist spine, it's evil sharp. 😂 These Lion Steel knives don't call to my inner knife loving soul. I don't know what it is cause they work great , they just look generic to me though.

@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors It's definitely on my watch list brother. The price is actually in a doable range, watching the wallet lately is super important for me. It blows my mind that Becker knives are in the same price range now ... UGH. The U.S. market is getting freaking destroyed by this horrible government in charge. These Spanish companies have some awesome deals, but quality control is so amazing. That said its gonna put U.S knife makers out of buisness if our economy doesn't get better.

Nice review. I can’t imagine getting a fixed blade with a nylon / cordura sheath🤮. I’d be all over this one if it came with a sharpened spine. Yeah, I can sharpen a spine but I don’t wanna. Right now I’m enjoying the hell out of my WTG Nomad EDC Bushcrater in N690.
