He knows the name Billy beacause before the show, the hostess is asked to write down the name of her first (puppy) love. Then Lior pretends to rip the note apart, reads the note, gets the name. It's that simple. It's interesting how the hostess doesn't mention this, when asked if there is any possibility that Lior could know the name, but that's psychology for ya... Watch this clip: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hLWBnbmc0q6ol5s.html - at 01.48 this hostess reveals that Lior asked her before the show.

As you can see, the way he move his thumb, trying to align the invisible string to get ready to do his trick. Check it out for yourself. But he did a very good job tho. Ask me more, im a mentalist myself :) cheers
@petegoddard51274 жыл бұрын
Vinze Crypted look at his right thumb when he lays it down behind the table. it’s not aligned with the arms of the glasses at all. in fact it’s not even aligned with his left hand. if he’s lifting his hands up, a string wouldn’t do that
@royishtainberg4 жыл бұрын
@@petegoddard5127 The string has some slack to it. It is long enough so he can move his hands without the glasses. That he lift his hand far enough for the glasses to move.

I love Lior and im also from Israel, but i trigger hard when i hear him in this vid. mental tricks and illusions are exactly that - tricks and illusions. It is great for entertainment value, just don't start talking about energies and powers. u insult our collective inelegance and some naive people might even believe you literaly and open themselves to exploitation by less ethical people then yourself. it is fun as long as it is "magic". when people take it too seriously it become a new religion. Dont be another Uri Geller. don't endorse ignorance over logic. Please

@Dan rightly said Dan, you stole my words. He must stick with mind reading and influencing. He is selling apples by calling them bananas and that's cheap way of getting famous. By the way this is the first time an Arab is backing up an Israeli comment.
@ellonysman5 жыл бұрын
Agreed....somehow theres a trick to all this mumbojumbo. I liGke how Johnny busted uri geller on his show by bringing out a bunch of spoons for him, oh sorry Uri, I forgot to prebend them.
@hasansudirgo2875 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I want to say too. Please Lior..
@kimsland9995 жыл бұрын
Well said Dan, it is only magic. Obviously the glasses was string (it was given away in another vid, personally I feel he should refrain from this). The unseen spoon was 2 chemicals when placed together to heat up or harden the spoon stem (again, I feel this is not good magic). The 'mind reading' is NOT mind reading! I mean he even informs you of this by seemingly knowing the answer (at all times) before you say it. You have to think, how can people KNOW things? They must learn or reason out to know things. Belief is NOT knowledge, belief is like a bad guess, so that CAN'T be it. If you really really really really really really really believe in something, that does NOT automatically make it true. The question is: How did he KNOW this beforehand. How did he acquire this knowledge, without the other person knowing that they in fact DID inform him, or someone else informed him previously? These are the only 2 possibilities. Personally I'm thinking their elderly parents, or a lot of research on each celebrity, especially younger documented data, as in child videos; diaries etc. He would be a good private investigator. The modern audience style mental projections, is about the most common thing they'd pick, or they choose from the prompts he provides. Blue Green Red Aqua Black Yellow. The answer is Aqua ;)

he just had a magnet on his ring... and a magnet on the glasses

There is nothing supernatural about anything in this world - We imagine which we can't perceive and understand as supernatural. If you observe @ 11:52 he pulls a thin transaparent band and wears it onto his thumb and wrist and distracts by asking participants to place it on his hand and naturally when he lifts it, it topples the goggles.

11:52 he was using an invisible thread....so thin it's like a spider web you can buy this in a magic shop but I don't know if it's available in your country. Look at his thumb preparing as he put the thread below the eyeglass. hmmm not impressive at all....I know this hahaha....I only blown of his mind reading though.
@petegoddard51274 жыл бұрын
Invisible thread😂 what’re you talking about lmao.. at 11:52 he moves his hand in the front of the glasses? theres nothing below it? plus what happens to the thread after wards, he just keeps a string attached to his hand at all times?? in studio lighting, someone would notice something as thin as a spider web

Their mind tricks , beautiful mind tricks, should not be mixed whit those so cheap lenses thread obvious movement trick, it just do the beauty turn the all thing into a bad taste appearance.

For the art trick: we get a clue to the pre-show conversation where Lior asked Mark to think of a page number before filming started, so that's how Lior knows which painting it will be because he knows the page number already: MARK: 'Just choose anything I want?' LIOR: 'The thing that's in your head. The page in your head' What 'page in your head'? Ah, the page Lior asked Mark to choose earlier before filming started. The page number Mark had to write down on a piece of paper, which Lior took and conveniently 'ripped up'. That page. This is how these mentalism tricks work, by extracting information off-camera and then later 'revealing' it. This explanation is not just a guess, I've studied mentalism and magic for decades. It's nothing to do with body language or supernatural powers. I just wish Lior would admit that it's a trick and let us admire that skill as a magician, instead of this bullshit about 'powers' and 'energy'. Derren Brown has been very successful with that honest approach, admitting that he's not 'psychic' yet he's much admired for his skill as a performer. In short, there's no need to be a liar Lior!

goldeneddie why u think the host doing. Just to fool themselves in front of camera?.
@goldeneddie5 жыл бұрын
@@nor-azizpino5792 All TV programmes involve some preparation before filming starts - to save time usually. So it's not unusual for a host to 'warm up' with a guest. The host just doesn't realise how the trick depends on the pre-show work.

@mitchs20967 жыл бұрын
The glasses trick is awful, from 11:52 you clearly see him wrap a near invisible (silk?) thread around his right hand fingers. And at 12:11 he grabs it tightly with his left hand. Whether he spools it out of his large ring or off his jacket sleeve at 11:47 is open for debate, as it is very hard to tell as video quality is low. There is enough slack for him to move his hands about, so he needs to raise his arms quite high for his prop glasses to flip. His mind reading and suggestion tricks are cool though.
@sofang9307 жыл бұрын
Mitch S - I notice that too. I also notice his thumbs (right is extended, while his left is not) that could be looked into. Another is that, it's always some sort of eye wear.
