At 3:45, the LM 48 Installation Paste doesn't actually contain any MoS2 in its formulation. Steffen was referring to the previously mentioned agents that are present in the formulation and had a mental lapse. Our apologies for any confusion

Do you have more details about the Marine Grease or Bootfett that Liqui moly have? It is definitely a marine grade with a calcium sulfonate base. HOwever, it does not say anything if we can use it for bearings for the trailer. We often use the trailer for our boat and merge under the water a lot. At least Lucas marine grease are specified for bearing too. We also miss the Silicon grease that is important for brake sliding pins because silicon is compatible with any rubber.

Appreciate the clarification. It does contain tungsten disulfide though, which is arguably better. Good stuff regardless of exactly what's in it.

I am about to regrease my CV axles on a Mitsubishi 3000gt, on both ends. I see a tube of Long life grease + mos2 is 100g? Would this be enough pr CV boot or enough to divide to the front and back axle boot?

Hi there, I have a Honda Goldwing, they have what's called a final drive with gears to rotate the rear tire. Honda recommends a minimum of 60% or higher moly. Does your: liqui moly +MoS2 long life grease have 60% or more?

Hi, I'd need a clarification please. In this video you suggest the ceramic paste to be also used on wheels hub. This despite on your previous video ( called "brake change with liqui moly"/ 4 years old video ) you answer a customer question not to use it for that purpose. Very confusing. I recently replaced my RR hub/bearing in my 2013 A4 B8 and after cleaning up the bearing surface and knuckle area where the bearing is fitted into I used my LM48 Installation paste - I wasn't even thinking because I just used it for installing a new cam bridge and it was there. I used a very slight amount to coat the entire perimeter of the knuckle and I put a tiny amount on the axle splines like a pea sized amount (like 1 -2 gram) The bearing slide in perfectly and same with the axle it slide into the hub really easy - I was actually amazed at how easy assembly was, I torqued everything to spec and the car now drives great and is very quiet. My question is will that tiny, tiny amount of that paste be ok long term? Or do I need to take it all apart and clean off that assembly paste. Just looking for some verification on if that paste will be ok, in there, it seems perfect and I would think it would help seat the bearing.

Without looking up your car's arrangement specifically: Three possible scenarios / cases for most later VAG cars: 1) Is this a bolted hub assembly? (that is, bolted to the knuckle?) If so, it will be perfectly fine. (Most rears on FWD cars have a single retaining bolt (or nut on a fixed spindle) through the middle of the hub assembly) 2) If it is a press-fit bearing, where the roller bearing outer race is pressed into the knuckle with only a circlip for secondary retention (similar to A4 Golf front bearings), so long as the press-fit went in "hard", (that is you needed a press / forcing screw / hammer and driver, to fit the bearing) you're fine. (Assembly lube can help in this case to prevent galling the knuckle, without adversely affecting the press-fit). 3) If the bearing is a press fit, and it went in by hand, without tools, then you need to redo, likely with a new knuckle. (Case 3 I would say is very unlikely. Most cars after the A4 / B5 generation have modular bearings which are bolted to the knuckle). All that said, I'm an idiot from the internet. I may or may not know what I'm talking about, despite the FAA license sitting in my wallet.

Is LM47 MoS2 grease safe to be used with plastic and rubber? I want to use it to re-lubricate the drill machine and wrench metal gears however having plastic housing around them and rubber gas-kits/ O-rings to stop grease leakage to other components. Any recommendations? Thank you

Looking for an answer to this also. Liqui Moly Guide Pin Grease (21204) is not available anywhere locally unfortunately. Am I able to use the Long-Life Grease + MoS2 (LM2003) to lubricate the slide pins?

Often manufacturer recommends to use lithium based grease with anti wear package that can withstand HIGH temperature, very important the HIGH. In that extend simply check what the caliper manufacture recommande or either i can confirm lucas red n tacky grease work very well for that application cause it withstand those temps really well (don't even get thinner) and provide amazing wear protection for long time. Don't mind if the caliper boot support mineral fluids cause if it's recent enough yes of course cause it's not rubber (same material as cv boots or inner tie rod boots...).

What is recommended for input shaft splines and other components on a clutch job (e.g slave cylinder tip, release bearing, etc)

The high temperature ceramic paste would be indicated for the input shaft, release fork pivot, etc. Remember that a little goes a long way.

@@herrbrahms Thanks! I used three greases for a clutch job. For the splines used Sachs Specialty lubricant. It’s sticky and almost looks like spider web. Then a moly lube for the contact points (e.g slave rod, throwout bearing, pivot pin, etc). Finally a light coat of anti seize for the trans bell housing bolts. Shifts real smooth now.

@@DonBMW Glad it worked out for you. Lubricating the clutch is pretty tricky since any excess can be tossed from shaft splines and ruin the new clutch. It's also a high heat area like brake calipers, spark/glow plug threads, etc. I would probably avoid MoS2 in this area should you have to do the job again in several years.

Yes both products are safe for diesel, including models with diesel particulate filters. You should not use both at the same time. Hi AR, it may be as simple as greasing up the grease points, but it will also depend on the type of brake pads you are running. High-performance pads are often noisy themselves. A good visual inspection would not hurt.

I remember when the black moly shit first came out. I didnt find it any better than good old Mobil 1 synthetcic grease.
