I am MAC NC15 and LE 5 is a perfect match if this helps anyone. Edit: Just swatched a bunch of shades side by side. I am comparing shade only. When I say MAC, I mean discontinued Pro longwear foundation (hopefully the colour hasn't change much over time). LE5 is just a slightest touch less peachy-pinky than MAC NC15, so closer to neutral. PML conceal in 2 is same tone but lighter. LE3 is the same depth but more golden, same shade as Armani Neo Nude 1.5 or PML concealer in 3. LE 7 is an almost perfect match for NW15 or EL double wear light 1N2 or Shiseido Synchro Skin self refreshing in 130 opal. LE9 is visibly deeper and golden-olive with the closest match I found in Armani Luminous Silk 5.5. PML concealer in 5 is just golden without olive and lighter but a good concealer to foundation match if you like brighter undereyes.

Cannot speak for others but this Foundation is absolutely perfect for me: not too light, not too yellow, not too rosy, not too orange. I am in love! I have spent plenty trying to find a foundation that works and this one is magical.

I would say our colouring is identical, I actually came across your channel when on the hunt for the perfect ‘nude’ lip (lavender lace is also my fav thanks to you!). I was recommended 10 too so I got the sample card and although it was wearable the swatch was off. I didn’t want to commit to a full foundation without the sample cards being restocked, but now I’m thinking I might just get 2 & 7 😂 I would love to see you review her lipsticks if you others. I’m dying to get cinnabar when it restocks x

Got shade 1 - very similar to Estée Lauder Double Wear in Alabaster which I wear on daily basis but warm up a *bit* so it's a smidge too light with wrong undertone but isn't noticeably very different to my natural skin tone. Getting 3 to mix with it for perfect colour. In love because the finish is stunning. Love everything about it. The bottle is a work of art!!

I’m the opposite! As a teen my skin was dark enough to match most lightest shades at the drug store and was quite pink toned. Now that I’ve entered my 20s my skin is extremely pale almost white with neutral undertones. I’ll have to try some of Lisa’s products, I’ve been a fan of her for years! 💜

I usually wear ‘fair’ in It cosmetics CC cream and LE shade 5 is perfect for me.

The foundation looks breathtaking on you! My heart sank when I looked at the foundation examples on her site. Having only one cool-toned fair/light shade excludes me. I could probably make #7 work, but for that money, I have other foundations.

Hey Arna, I’ve followed you for years and started when you did foundation reviews and swatch comparisons which were so helpful for me being super pale, but u didn’t realize I was olive so wondered why they didn’t quite look the same on me even though we are about the same depth of fairness. Now I mix green concealer to all foundations and I get my absolute perfect match. My skin has more blue than yellow so sometimes a foundation can be too yellow on me but pink foundations look horrendous on me. Long story short - LE shade 7 is really good for me but only if I mix a good bit of green concealer. It slightly lightens it but cancels out the orangeness of the foundation to make it a light olive that’s perfect for me. You should try a green or blue concealer - a blue one mixed in your foundations might give that “greige” color that you like and dull down the foundations you own or like the finish of. This was an absolute game changer for me as someone who spent a fortune trying to find my “perfect shade” that didn’t exist anywhere. There’s a brand in Ireland called “collection” that is very cheap in the drugstore and they sell a green concealer. It’s perfect, doesn’t change the finish of foundations at all. Hopefully this is helpful, Alessandra Anele recommended green primer but couldn’t find any here so I tried green concealer and it’s a lot better because it won’t change the coverage or finish of your foundation. I saw the Purito bb cream last night on Amazon Prime and had hit the buy now, Taylor Wynn gives this 5 star review. With fair skin sometimes the exact color match is off. Spot on in richer skin tones. But, at $11.00 price point I really see purchasing in the future.

The two shades look beautiful on you, Arna! I don't know if I'd want to spend that much to get a perfect match, though, when one of the shades is wearable. I hope I can find my perfect shade because it looks like a beautiful foundation!

I always end up mixing foundations these days too. I’m 34 and I’ve found as I’m aging and starting to notice more discoloration (sun damage?) I prefer darker foundation. Having fresh young 20 something skin I looked great with the palest porcelain shades. At 34, it just looks like too much makeup and that I’m trying too hard to cover up. The discoloration shows through worse underneath it. I use a darker shade on my whole face and blend more of the lighter shade around my jaw so I can fade it nicely into my still stark white neck. It just looks more natural to me. 💕

I have the same skin tone as you do, and also use shade 21 in Purito. Lisa Eldridge shade 5 works beautifully for me. Love this foundation so much. I feel like it looks better as the day goes on.

Also, I have 4 Velvet Morning, its my everyday color of beautiful red,I am always complimented when I wear it!

I agree the mix of 2 and 7 look best. Getting shade 2 to blend is a great idea and would be so customizable. The swatches were so helpful too! CYO 101 is the perfect undertone for me. The Missha perfect BB cream in 13 is my perfect shade match. I would love to see an updated Lisa Eldridge lipstick swatches (here or Instagram) because if I order this foundation, I will get a lipstick or 2.

The key is finding the right shade, the second one I bought was perfect, I am number 16. This foundation looks better, hours in. No powdering!! Only under my eyes...that's it! It is the only one I use now!!

Cant wait to see the swatches of the new shades of the Purito BB cream! Shade 21 is a bit too dark for me and a bit too grey. I'm hoping shade 13 is a bit paler and a tiny bit more yellow (I'm like a Mac NC5- NC10)

I couldn't find a shade match (1 was too dark and too yellow, all the other light shades are way too dark for me I think)... I'm hoping she will expand the range eventually but the formula is so amazing! It's really just something special. You look beautiful as always!

I wear NW10 and shade 2 is a great match. I almost went with shade 1 but Lisa's customer service said the main difference between them is undertone and I'm glad I chose 2 as I have a strong cool undertone.

I agree with you about mixing shade 2 and 7. Together they look perfect on you.

I love this foundation. I am a Porcelain in Estee Lauder DW and a no 5 in Lisa Eldridge Foundation. It is so lovely. No perfume or alcohol so good for Rosacea. Very skin like.. pretty magic really but should not be surprised as she is a very clever beautiful lady who knows her onions.

Thanks for this. My skin is very similar to yours... I bought the lightest shade (1) a while ago which was pale and chalky obviously. I then bought the 7 and had the same experience as you, with it being a touch too yellow. I mixed the two together for a long time which was good, but recently I bought the 5 and its still a touch yellow, so maybe the mixing is just the way to go for you. A few random thoughts, I have known of Lisa Eldridge's stellar work as a very in demand makeup artist. She is English, so her creating a seamless, skin like foundation seems a natural thing. She really coined the skin, glass like look. Londoners are known for a very peaches and cream complexion, much emulated. Princess Diana. That being said. I have to know the product delivers on a glass like skin. If one is trying to find a way to do it with Maybelline Glass Skin setting spray. Just do not over do it, 3-5 spritz only. It will turn into a watery mess.

Thank you SO much for posting this. I feel like I am VERY close to your skin tone. I deal with a lot of the same issues. I was looking at shade 5 myself. I think I could pull that off best. My skin tone has warmed up a bit. I'm assuming that's due to my age as well. Still not sure.

I know that shade 4 looked dark when you swatched it on your arm but I think it might be a good match for you as you appear to have a peachy-creamy undertone. I thought shade 4 would be too dark for me when I saw the sample, but this is the shade I ended up buying after I wore it. It’s neutral without looking grey. While Shade 5 is truly neutral it looks slightly ashen on me.

I am with you on not matching foundation to my neck. For me, the reason is because my face is slightly tanner than my neck, so if I match to my neck the foundation pulls too light, and doesn’t really seem to blend in well. The reality for me is I try to cover up my chest & arms in summer to avoid burning, so my face is the only spot consistently sun exposed (I do wear sunscreen!). Like you, I’m no longer the lightest shade in some lines, and it’s really tricky-I don’t know what to buy!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have the same neck/face situation! 😆 My neck is so much lighter than my face that if I try to match it, I look insanely pale and I don't like it. So now I use a tinted sunscreen on my neck to make it match my face 🙃🙃 Oh and I ended up getting shade 4 in this foundation and it's a really great match for me!

I think the range definitely needs a rosy foundation slightly darker than shade 2, because the next rosy ones are in the light medium range, which doesn’t sound right. For the moment I think that the 2 and 7 blended look great, you could use shade 2 in the center of your face and 7 in the outer side for some more depth. Overall, shade 2 on its own still looks good with a bit of bronzer it wouldn’t look too pasty for you hopefully. You look very pretty

Yes, I was thinking shade 2 would work for you because it would match your neck, but only if you want to match your neck. That's the shade I chose for myself, and we are the same color. But like you, I definitely would have to add in some color and I add a bronzer and blsuh for color and structure. Probably a mixture of the two colors like you are thinking about would also work for me in summer. The next rosy shade up was too dark for me.

I’ve watched your video and everyone else’s so many times trying to decide on a shade lol. I think I’m shade 2, possibly 1 but I think 2 would have a little more life. I get what you mean about wearing a slightly darker foundation, when I’ve just been playing around I’ve noticed the difference actually putting some skin colour on can make but my arms and body are to ghostly to get away with it lol

I’m similar colour to you and I bought 5 which is really good. I actually found 7 swatched very visibly “muddy” on me compared to 5, I think 7 has a bit of olive in it

On my phone it looks great, shade 7. Great depth and undertone. That said, when you did the swatches I was surprised how warm most of them were.

Just FYI, you’ve always said the Purito bb cream 21 is a bit dark for you. Purito cica clearing bb has recently had a shade expansion and offers shade 13 and 15. Maybe one of those would work for you.

On my skin, the swatch of Shade 5 looked very slightly fairer and pinker than Shade 7. It might be closer to what you're looking for unless the mix of #2 and #7 is perfect. It must be hard to pass up on #2 when other brands have such limited undertones at their fair range. I too was surprised that I couldn't find an exact match, with all these choices. Your mentioning olive tones caught my ear. You may have the same issue: very fair skin, but with an ancestral olive peeking through. A neutral cast, in the true sense. There aren't enough fair olives for big companies to cater to. For me it has been a lifelong struggle to find good undertone matches. Most companies seem to think pink=cool, peach="neutral", yellow=warm, a tidy row on the colorwheel. In reality, red-dominance vs yellow-dominance is just one part of the puzzle. It overlooks the blue dimension: how much blue is present to neutralize the red/orange/yellow. When your skin has a true neutral or olive undertone - more blue than usual, which as the complementary color pushes skintones toward "gray" or "green" - most foundations are so yellow, orange or pink that they make neutral skin look gray. The solution has been to find an OK match that a bit of blue/green corrector can adjust to neutral. I'm still undecided on this foundation. I love the brand founder's work and like the formula concepts, but if I step back from my bias I see that this foundation is a bit dry looking in drier areas of the skin, which happen in winter and for retin-A reasons. Still experimenting with different skincare prep. I wonder if others have found the same.

It does seem that 2 and 7 are a good match for you. More often than not I use 2 shades of foundations. If you appled 7 just in the center of your face it really seems to work out for you. Thanks for the try-on and review.

Interesting that you had to pay for shipping to NZ. Lisa has a free shipping threshold, so if you had added some more lipsticks/highlighter to your foundation order and got one more product it would have saved the shipping cost. Well at least that is the case with shipping to Australia. It looks absolutely flawless on camera. I've tried a sample and I think this one looks beautiful. Looks great on you too with your finished makeup. I thought 7 looked spot on.

I think you really don't like the shade just because you are used to the purito. When I put on the purito bb cream, I look SO dark omg 😂 and I'm a similar shade to you, but with olive undertones
