@F yes, it's a two-step process, spread it out a bit then you set it with a flat or square end, not too tight not too loose

It has a pin with a spring clip on it. Just pop it out.

Drilled the end of the pin kind of like drilling out a pop rivet. Once the part that was crimped was removed the pin came out. I used a small drill bit so the end would collapse and there would still be some left to crimp when I put it back.

How did you crimp it back and what tool did you use? I've always wanted to know how to work with these kinds of crimps since theyre used so often

The pin that goes through is the part that is crimped. The pin is crimped in something like a arbor press with a fixture that prevents it from being warped.

@@fe3613 you can do it. The way I did it was to drill the crimp enough to get it apart. Then center drill so that when using a punch it will collapse enough to re-crimp.
