I remeber finding this band online, listening to a couple albums, finding out that they're from England, and wondering if they'd ever come to Portland, Oregon in the U.S.. I checked their tour schedule and discovered that, that night, they were almost finished with their set about 20 minutes walking distance from where I live. What a letdown.

I used to listen to this on really cheap ear phones as a teenager. Id push them right into my ears and fold my earlobes over them to get the bass up which looking back is kind of mental.

Well this video was it: the moment i got into metal. I remember going to a record store and seeing a copy of dopethrone on cd and completely passing it up. This vid ended up in my recommended a couple hours later and that fucking riff anihilated my skull, realized it was off that album i saw earlier that day and immediately went back to buy it. Now my hair is 3 times as long, jacket is covered in patches (dopethrone on the right shoulder), my shelves are packed with fat fucking riffs on physical copies, and my wallet is empty. God bless Electric Wizard.

The first song to have this effect on me was the intro to Cornucopia by Black Sabbath. Blew my mind with the crushing intro.
