Finally got the 1979 Lister ST2 installed on that last generator that had the bad ST3. 10 kilowatt Lima-Mac head, 20 gallon fuel tank base.

Nice to see somebody keeping Listers alive.

It looks like it starts quickly. Nice unit.

I had it running right before making the video, but before that it hadn't run in a couple months and fired right up on the first crank. Great little engine.

@@bigchevy80 Did you attach it to the generator head? Looks like an engine from your previous video. I like the idea of buying small diesel engines from marketplace and i've done it before because they are quite neat. Then I wonder what to do with them. A generator seems like a good use.

@@nicksnextproject535 yeah this engine was the same one from the earlier video. The generator head and base are from one of the 3 big Listers I hauled home last year. You can see the other two in my older vids. This one had an ST3 engine on it that was junk.

The two cylinder engine seem to make more noise than the three jugs.

How long can you run this engine continually.

Nice! It didn't even flinch as it went under load. - Is it running a tad low on RPM? It sounded more like 1500 (UK/Europe) rpm, than the 1800 (USA/Canada) rpm.

Nope it's running at 60 Hz. I just got done adjusting the governor last time it was running.

@@bigchevy80 That's interesting. It sounds exactly the same as our Lister ST2/BKB 6.5kVa generator at 50Hz. I think we need to recheck ours to see that it hasn't crept up by a few rpms. Keep up the good work. It's nice to see these old Listers at work outside the UK.
