Being "humiliated" isn't an excuse for displaying rude behavior on interviews. There are so many descriptions of being a real "queen", yet humility & graciousness are definitely 2 of the most outstanding characteristics a queen should possess, in any given situation. I think Pia answered very seriously, whereas Ms. Columbia opened with something humorous. At the same time, I think that Ms. Columbia should be allowed that room to stick a knife into Steve. Just imagine yourself in her place where in one moment, she had finally reached her dreams only to be told in the next moment that it was a mistake, that her being there was a mistake. There must have been some amount of shame and embarassment on her part in addition to the pain and despair. I'm pretty sure she was happy for Pia being Miss Universe but she was definitely grieving for herself as well.

The other lady’s response so disrespectful to Steve. Yes, he made a mistake & said sorry about it. That means one couldn’t accept the loss. She should have been sport about what happened and even made it to the next level. The bottom line is no matter who the winner is is the winner. Should have been a great credit if the response was the other way. Anyway, that was part of the Miss Universe history.

Im shocked that Ms. Columbia was harsh. I expected morecfrom het, sone grace and humility. We seem to forget that Pia was robbed of her moment tobtakevthat first work of Ms Universe. Most candidates flocked around Ms. Columbia when shevwas in tears understandably so and not many came to Pia at that moment. Ms USA was very supportive of Pia. It was very embarrasing for Mr. Harvey too but tookresponsibility and accountability for his mistake. Credit reversed to were ita due. I respect Mr. Harvey even more " You have to learn how to read cards" is what Ms. Columbia said whether it's a joke or sarcasm, is inappropriate. I wonder how she'd react if she was MU, would she handle tough situations?
