As many of you all know, I use an 18v Rechargeable Makita drill & and angle grinder.
Unfortunately, the last of the 4 battery packs stopped working the other day leaving me without the use of either of the very useful tools, the drill I needed to complete a honing task on the Honda Magna engine that I'm fixing up at the moment.
So.....like many of us would in my situation, I stumped up the $260 for a couple of new 3.0 amp hour 18v genuine Makita batteries....ouch!
But.....shortly after a viewer commented that it may be possible to bring the old batteries back to life & he sent me some instructions....bloody perfect I thought, we must give that a go!
I did a little more research & found that there are quite a few different methods kicking around KZfaq for this fix so I decided, since I have 4 dead batteries, to give a few of them a go & see which one seems to work the best (most successful so to speak).
This video covers the first & probably the most comprehensive option of bringing a Lithium Ion battery back to life. The instructions were clear & really explained the problem that is occurring inside the battery & how the 'fix' overcomes this...
In this video I cover the first of 4 methods so there will be at least another 3 videos on this subject, covering Fix #2, Fix #3 & Fix #4...
I'm hoping that one or two of you will find this Series of videos interesting & helpful towards you bringing your batteries back to life.
