Without even knowing where Little Bay was, I already could tell it’d be Newfoundland

Coming from a different small outport community in Newfoundland this hits pretty hard. This is an amazing video that really captures the hardships outport communities have faced since the cod moratorium

Lots of jokes about HAI and stuff here which is fun. But I have to say, this is such a new height for you guys, the visuals, the sound design, and, wow, the eloquent narrative brilliantly written. Congratulations on your achievement here.

Being part of the statistic that moved away out west, it was difficult watching without tearing up at some points. I know that most Newfoundlanders long for the day that the economic outlook is good enough to move back home, the connection that Island people feel to their home is unbelievably strong. Thank you for this video, Sam. I had to come over and watch it again after seeing it on your main channel, excellent content and I hope to see more.

I know this'll get swallowed up in a sea of other comments, but I just wanted to say this video moved me deeply and got me thinking about the massive forces in the world and my place in them. Videos like these are a force for good in the world, and I hope you keep making well made and significant content like this.

The Seduction of Dr Lewis/The Grand Seduction is a beautiful film (and remake) about a community like this facing relocation- definitely worth checking out

I'd really like to know more about the two who stayed... how are they going to sustain themselves? Why did they choose to stay as only TWO people? That was the most interesting part of the video for me.

I don't know how I could have missed it, but did he talk about the two people who stayed behind? Toward the end, he mentioned that they were the Parsons. But that's all I caught about them.
