The Reloading Craft

In this video, I go over what the WFT-2 case trimmer is, what is included, how to adjust trimming length and switch bushings, as well as trim some brass. I also cover options that are available for the trimmer itself, and improvements made over the initial WFT version 1.

That it is a good trimmer . But if you trim, so many different kind of shell light. 30r6 , 223 and 308 then you should get the one Frankford arsenal trimmer , that worked all .👌👍

I have tried the Frankford and the precision tolerance is nowhere close to the little crow gunworks setup.

Do I still need to chamfer and deburr the case If I use wet media tumbling after trimming?

It depends on how much material you’re removing, and how clean of a cut it leaves on the lip. I tried just tumbling to chamfer/deburr, but found it left a little ridge on the case mouth even after 3 hours with stainless media. Also seating the projectile was much smoother if I chamfered Vs if I didn’t.

@thereloadingcraft look like the chamfer and deberr are mandatory. I am gonna use tri way cutter instead.

Tri-cutter is definitely the fastest way to do it for sure

A piece of plexi to shield you from small brass chips? What were you expecting 6" long dangerously sharp stainless curls? Pair of safety glasses is sufficient.. The cutting speed for that bit is better with the drill on high speed. The low speed torque is unnecessary and really noises. A quick and lighter touch will create less fatigue and give a clean cut to the cases..

The plexiglass is designed to keep the [very small] chips from flying all over the room. Usually this is done in the basement, or in another part of the house at the time, and cleaning up little brass shavings everywhere is a pain. I have since moved to a new location and have access to a proper workshop and a drill press, which makes for a much nicer trimming host.
