The theme for this month's Patreon Art Challenge was "the house you don't trick or treat at." I decided to save a failed monster print from a previous project and give it a second life as a thief with a house you would definitely skip on Halloween.

I like the idea of a family moving out west and building a home for themselves, only to find that the hill they built it on was actually a gigantic minotaur. Maybe it becomes a part of the family, and they feed it treats or give it scratches behind the ears sometimes.

I would love for Boylei to include the lot this house was once located at in a future build. I can just see a little old man standing next to a house-sized hole in the ground talking to a local sheriff about his missing house and wife apparently (since a number of comments requested an old lady in the house).

This gets a 10/10 for creativity and execution but at least 5 extra points for reusing a mistake. I like that you keep basically everything to use in future projects and outside being genuinely useful that would couldn’t get on its own, it saves a lot of plastic from being thrown out. Especially with a miss printed object I know a lot of people would just throw it away because it was ‘wrong’ while this shows by example that you can find a use for almost everything especially when it comes to making models and dioramas

Oh no that infill on the bison print has me worried for every other print you've done. Every hollow print I've ever done has exploded after a year or so. You're not supposed to do infill in resin prints because you can never cure the inside of the infill, and if you do a hollow print without infill you have to both leave a hole in it to vent while printing, AND put UV LEDs inside it after printing to cure the inside. Otherwise the print will slowly tear itself apart.

To fix the issue you're having with brittle resin prints, consider missing in 10-20% of either Anycubic Tough Resin, Siraya Tech Tenacious Resin or similar flexible resin products to 80-90% of your favorite regular resin. I mix 10% Tough to 90% standard from Anycubic and it works amazingly well for preventing brittleness. Hope that helps.

A warning if you print more models in resin while hollowed out. Make sure there can't be any uncured resin left inside. So use drain holes to be able to flush out all resin. It will brake your model in the long run in any is left trapped inside and leak out ruining all the hard work. So a grid inside like with this model is a big risk.
