I grew up in a little town on the New South Wales south coast. This was close to my favourite song. I applied for and was accepted into the Air Force as a pilot in 1987. I swore that if I passed the pilot course, which had a traditional pass rate of just 50%, I would come back to my home town, sit down at South Beach with a beer, in my RAAF uniform, with my newly awarded pilot wings, and look out over the beautiful ocean while listening to this song. I did pass. I did sit down at South Beach with a beer, looking out over the ocean listening to Cool Change, whilst contemplating what I'd achieved. I felt bloody good.

I think LRB is one of the most underrated bands of the 70’s-80’s. The way they harmonized wasn’t something you hear much of these days. I kinda think of LRB as one of the first “boy bands”. Cute as hell, can sing, harmonize, and all the ladies loved them! Keep on a rockin’ Glenn.

you're on point. Beeb, Wayne and Graeham compliment Glenn so well and they sing it well both in studio and live...John Farnham had a different style and some liked it but I still prefer Glenn's laid back style as though he's only talking to you and not really trying to make an effort out of it...love LRB

These guys are every bit as good with their harmony as Don Henley and the Eagles, maybe even better. And I am a very big fan of the Eagles. This song was on the radio when I got my driver's license in November. Right before Christmas break my parents let me miss most of the morning of school so I could drive my brother to Galveston and bring his car back. This song played 3 or r times on that trip.

These guys are right up there with the Eagles as far as harmonizing. Lead vocals right on par with like of Don Henley . They're also very musically talented

I had the pleasure of living in Melbourne from 1974-1977. Awesome Australian acts like Little River Band, AC/DC, Air Supply and Sherbet were frequent guests on the weekly Countdown TV program. I did not realize how fortunate I was.

I have often joked that every hit song that I can sing along with from the late 70s/early 80s that I don't know who it is by, is by the Little River Band. They had so many great songs across a broad swath of the musical spectrum. Great harmonies, great hooks, great lyrics. Thanks LRB for being the greatest f-ing band that nobody really appreciates enough.

By far the most underrated band of all time. You can feel the love and passion they had for the music. They didn't do it for fame or fortune. That's what makes them great.

Straya Mate :)....Whatever you do , do not go to a concert of the Tribute band that OWNS the name Little River Band, it belongs to the American Bloke that was in LRB, somehow he managed to discombobulate the others as they left the band and had them sign over the name: The sole Yank in the band, took these remarkable songwriters music Shorrock, Goble's and Birtles and has dined out on their Fame doing the Circuit in the USA for the last 30 odd years with a bunch of local Muso's ( yanks) calling themselves...The Little River Band : he has refused the original nucleus of the band any opportunity to tour as the LRB or use the name as a band. That would be like Ringo replacing George, John and Paul with a few young lads and calling themselves the Beatles and refusing John, Paul and George the rights to the name if they wished to tour as the Beatles...They'd have to tour as Lennon, Harrison and McCartney, whilst Ringo did the tour circuit repeatedly in the USA with , well anyone local muso as fill ins ...as The Beatles. The absolute mockery of it was the American iteration of the tribute act, were booked to do a 40th Anniversary of the Band on a US TV Show ( I cant remember which one now) but a BIG show, The producers of the show received a call from Australia letting them know that the Original members, songwriters, Voice , Harmony and Melodic sound of the band were no longer in it and they were not allowed to perform as the LRB ( with their own music, harmonies and signature sound)....The Shows producers did not realise !, But the moment they did, they cancelled the Tribute bands invitation to perform.
