Little Simz is an artist who rejects labels. She’s denounced the terms “female rapper”, “female MC”, “role-model” and even “feminist” in the past - and isn’t even signed to a record label.

Got to agree with her, if a guy is an MC no one calls them a "male MC". She seems like a very genuine person!

The amount of dislikes prove how valid her point is, we're all individuals, labels aren't always necessary. The domination of masculinity reflects the insecurities of man I feel, however hopefully Simz understands femininity isn't a bad thing and she can define that however she chooses, nothing wrong with being a Queen, it sounds like she was raised by one.

I will never understand why people would voluntarily listen to rap. It is the most horrible mutation and bastardization of music. Even moreso I will never understand why the opinions of artists on anything are considered relevant. Why would we listen to someone who doesn't live or work in the real world and is surrounded by people kissing their ass? I'd rather they interview a factory worker.

Why the original author pretends as if Little Simz grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth is comical, and his inability to understand why people like rhythm and poetry is simply beyond me. What's worse is how he presents his worthless opinions as facts.

She definitely lives in the real world, she grew up in the ends and it’s not like she’s rich yet, she just makes art instead of working an office job like you. Also, dismissing a whole genre and calling it a bastardization of music sounds like some not only elitist and pretentious stuff but strange. Is it the swearing? Are u not used to rhythmic sounds? The electronic elements?
