Thank God I know all those chords, modes, arpeggios, double stops, chromatic passes and diminished lines. I always wondered what chord substitutions Eric Gales used. I met him and saw him live 5 times. He's Little Wing version is definitely modern and has a Neo Soul/Jazzy vibe to it.

I think this is going to be one of those videos that can be looked back on as a real milestone in your evolution as a player. There's so much maturity and tastefulness to these lines that can only come with experience and it's a pleasure to listen to.

Dude I'm thrilled I found this video man, awesome little wing lesson. I met Eric Gales at an Eric Johnson concert back in 2011 in Charlotte, NC. Found out he only lives a few cities over; he was EJ's guest and they jammed a few songs. I spoke with him after the show, at the time he was offering skype lessons. Wish I would've took him up on it, amazing player.

not only a sublime lesson on the greatest electric guitar song ever written (and so say the other greats from Beck to Stevie to Van Halen to Vai) but an authenticity in its dissemination devoid of all vanity. Frankly, this is the best, most interesting guitar tutorial I have ever seen on you tube

i can't find an effective lesson online on a method that can take me to a point where i'm able to connect chords when i'm improvising. they all say the basic stuff which i worked on but there's a missing point. that'd be a great video to put out since we all now what a beast you are over changes and you widely demonstrated that in this video intro eheh! All the best from Italy! This shit's gonna end sooner or later.

Damn these chords shapes are not what I'm used too. Been wanting to learn Little Wing for a long time, just didn't want to play the same exact version as everyone else (If that sounds pretentious I apologize). Now I have the perfect go to. Will probably spend the next couple weeks working on this on and off. Thanks for such a great lesson!

Hey Jack there's a request! Now every guitarist has got infinite time to practice which I don't know if we will ever get an opportunity like this. So please make a video on A practice routine schedule and how to practice in a organize manner. Please make a video on this. Your lessons are really very helpful and this will help a lot of Guitarist too!

2:11 onwards are just great lines - really sounds like Eric's style. Kudos on this one Jack! Just great playing and teaching Brother. Another great blues guitarist I'd love to hear you "emulate" (or teach on) is Snooks Eaglin. Many haven't heard of him, but his technique was quite unique in the blues genre. Here's my favorite tune of his called "Playgirl". Enjoy! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ibthf9SI2bDYZKM.html
