I am travelling from central Hainan to the southern cost line in a very small rural village called Huangliu 🇨🇳 It's a very laidback place, but on the way there I met some increadibly nice people doing fishing and farming in the very rural areas of Hainan.

"It is a simple house, but life seems to be so peaceful here." Yes, same for this video. Nice slow pace, astonishing drone video's (the small boat and river island with the mountains behind it, so many colors from light green to deep blue. The children being natural actors. Little roads with little traffic. The food. The people. The trip to the night market. The swallows on the power line. Not your most spectacular video. But it made me happy. A simple quiet happiness and such an important contrast to all the noise. Thank you again, sweet far friend, for being our eyes in places that we never heard of, and that I am now searching for on Google Maps, feeling enriched.

I read that for thousands of years Chinese people were chained to the land. Huge percentages of populations farmed just to keep everyone fed. If a crop failed many people would die of hunger. Now it doesn't seem to be this way. Such industrious people. Another great video Yan. Thank you.

As someone who has traveled by motorbike many times throughout Vietnam, I have to admit that the roads and scenes you pass through on Hainan Island are exactly the same as the country roads in Vietnam. From the rivers, areca trees, jackfruit trees, starfruit trees and "zhu-bian"...curious children, friendly countryside people to the sincerity of the people in the villages I've been to. Well, one detail that surprised me was that the man smoked with a bamboo pipe. In Vietnam, we have had the same style of smoking since ancient times. ahhhh I miss those trips so much.

you're correct man, same tropical vibe and fauna. Great weather, the rural areas in Hainan seems to be exact in most of Vietnam, people do farm work, they're not rich, but they're rich with love and friendliness.

Those boys would have felt sad while you leave, if you stayed for one more day 🤩. Beijing girls marry guys from Hainan for warm weather rather than because of whom they love! Classic divide of urban and rural cultures also demeaning for girls in general! Hope some Beijing girl while on vacation wont tan his face red even if sun is not out 😆. The good old bridge where the gentlemen are fishing, it is so quiet and beautiful.. we can sit there for whole day looking at the water and surrounding beauty! Yan, I have spent countless hours watching your KZfaq videos. I have enjoyed every one of them. Your journeys have made me realize how much I have missed by not traveling when I was younger. I spent most of my life achieving what our western society thinks success is and it has left me feeling unfulfilled. If I had to do life all over I would trade all that I have accomplished for a life of adventure. I am now too old to do the things you are doing and have a deep regret that I no longer have the stamina to travel like you. Your skills as a storyteller and photojournalist are superb and I hope these videos continue for the foreseeable future. I would love if you scheduled a live question and answer video so that your followers could learn more about your life and your travels.. I like this episode the same with all your previous videos which I've already watched. What I like most was your conversation with the kids. They are really interested with your drone and I also saw their amazement with what you are doing. It seems they wanted you to do that again with them that's why they are asking when will you go back. I feel a little sad for them. I'm sure they're gonna miss you and they will talk about you with their family and friends visiting their place bringing a drone. I had a twin brother who also has a drone, he is also doing a vlog, he is a beginner and whenever he flew his drone some of our neighbor are happy watching themselves in the monitor. It is satisfying to see the smiles in the faces of many people, like the smile of those kids. Thank you also for making me smile. Just love your drone footage. I see the small city surrounded by agriculture the way people always used to live, with nature & their own crops nearby. The mountains look like Chinese paintings. We call that bamboo product "bilao" in the Philippines. We use the same way you use it in China. We call the star fruit "balimbing".

Unless, like the author of the video, you cycle around on your own, trading meals and accommodation with locals. Hainan is beautiful, but it has the most greedy tourism industry in China. You may pay a high fee for this.

And now you presenting my home - i'm living here in Hainan more than 11 years now, south to WenChang in the Northeastern part of our island. 250m near the sea and i agree to all you showed and mentioned about Hainan.
