I'm overwhelmed by the amount of love and support you've given me at a time when I need it most. This video went up later than usual and that's because I was sitting here in front of my computer, unsure if I should publish it. Truthfully, it only published because I had it 'scheduled,' and it went live while I was deep in thought. I was so scared. I was scared of feeling embarrassed, wrong, and letting people down. I was scared of what people would say and think. I think, mostly, I was scared that once it was out there... it was finally 'real.' And now I'm sitting here in front of my computer again reading through each message and I feel so seen and supported. I feel like it's going to be okay. I don't know how but I trust that it will. The belief you have in me, the love you have for me and the confidence you have in my strength is.... it means more than I can put into words. So I'll just say thank you and do my best to show you over the coming months just how much you've helped me. I truly love each and every one of you x

Phoebe what you're going through is real. Like Facebook, people usually only post the best bits of their life. You've given us a glimpse of your life before discussing your fears and overcoming them. I'm sure it's helped people. It's certainly made me determined to travel on my own overseas next time friends back out. So I'm positive sharing this crushing news will help people in a similar situation. You will overcome this. You haven't let anyone down, on the contrary, you're an inspiration to many. There is nothing to be embarrassed about, this is real life. It's not Fakebook life. Totally real life shit. But you will rise from this stronger than ever.

I rewatched your video today. Your analogy reminded me of a song that I think you might take comfort in: I breathe in, I breathe out Got friends who let me talk about What ain’t working, what’s still hurting, All the things I feel like cussing out. Now and then I let it go I ride the waves I can’t control I’m learning how to build a better boat. Keep swimming, Phoebe. We’ll be your friends when you need. And work hard to build your better boat.

Yes, it absolutely sucks right now but we have watched you grow so much over the months since you took over the channel on your own. Thank you so much Tracie... you know, I was getting so anxious as the publishing time for this video came around. I think one of the hardest things for me is the fear of judgement and other people's opinions and feelings being pushed onto me, particularly the negative stuff. And to have that in your head and then read a comment like yours that just... shines so much love and positivity... it really means a lot to me x

Hey Phoebe, sending love from the UK. I am going through something similiar and I see you and you have a friend here in the UK. "Change can be both frightening and beautiful. Open your heart to whatever life has in store for you and the unlimited potential the future holds". He gave me a necklace with this quote before he left, and ironically It helps each day. Sending love and hope you both are alright.

Sweatheart, you appear to have been hit with something you didn't see coming, and I have so much respect for you to even be able to put together a video like this. I started watching your videos about a week ago to plan for an upcoming family trip to Thailand. And from the first video I watched, I could tell you had an enormous energy about you. You vibrate at higher frequency than most people. I hate to see you going through this. But you are right, there is a plan for you! I watched some of your earliest videos all the way up to videos last week about Thailand. You have evolved so much! It sucks, but now you have nothing holding you back to fly. Think bigger and don't let people hold you down. You are young, you are beautiful, and most important, you are going to be ok 😉 You've got so much potential and you've only just scratched the surface! Hoping to make it over to Thailand in June. Looking to purchase a vlogging camera and documenting our family adventure. My daughter, 8, wants to be a KZfaqr 😀 I have no idea what I'm doing, but we will have fun with it 😀 Keep your head up. You are a strong woman!

Thank you so much! I started filming just to have an outlet, somewhere/something to talk to and get it out. I'm not the best at talking to people face to face about stuff so talking to the camera in my house was just what I needed. I didn't watch any of the footage back until a few days before I posted the video and it was so hard to watch. But, weirdly, editing it all together healed me a little. Thank you so much for all your kindness and the belief you have in me. I can't tell you how much impact that has on my heart and soul right now :)

@@travelforphoebe you are most welcome. You are going to meet someone just like you when you least expect it and you guys are going to travel the world and have a blast. Also, remember to surround yourself with good energy/people. I seen a Lost LeBlanc video recently on a digital nomad resort he built in Bali for content creators. People from all over the world stay at his resort and colaborate with one another on creating digital content. It would seem like a really cool experience if I lived closer. But if you are needing something to dive into to take your mind off things, surrounding yourself with digital gurus and learning new things could be a positive experience 😉

I'm a long-time silent follower and couldn't help but comment on this video as it struck a chord with me. You're so brave to share something deeply personal, it was so raw and vulnerable that I wanted to share my experience with you and give you strength. I went through a separation 2 years ago during lockdown, we were together for nearly 8 years and had 2 dogs and 1 cat. The de-coupling stage is the most challenging with finances, logistics, fur babies and assets not to mention dealing with the grieving for the relationship on top of all that. I too went through a rollercoaster of emotions and bad days where I did question life but I'm in such a better place now. It took me about 6 months to grieve, to focus on myself (I called it "my road to self-discovery".. I too struggled with communicating feelings, my wants, my needs and putting myself first) and opening my heart to someone new. I can now think back about the memories without it being painful. I just want to say it gets easier! I'm now with someone who I can express myself openly and went on our first holiday to NZ North Island with our itinerary based on your travel videos :) I love that even during these tough times you expressed so much gratitude. Now you just need to practice self-love

Stay strong girl ! I’ve spent two months in Cairns (December last year and January this year) and loved it so much, went there after a break up (which happened in Canada) as well, was crying for the first month and the second month really enjoyed it! It has amazing healing flora and fauna there, so peaceful, people are very friendly, lot of nature, yin yoga on the beach, beautiful islands with coral reefs, snorkling, fresh seafood, and a lot of yummy Asian food, I loved it so much!! Healing can be messy, take one step at a time, love yourself, meditate, go for long walks. We love your channel, it’s very inspiring and you’re doing an amazing job with it! We’ve seen you grow up spiritually with it so much, your vibes are so high now and positive that the Universe decided to give you this change to welcome people in your life who can resonate with new you better! You fare going though this because you’re growing and on your path! Cheer up and cry it all out before smiling and laughing again. (Yoga helps me, they say pain is stored in the hips), so happy healing !! We love you!!

Phoebe, you have opened up so much over the months and it has been so refreshing. I know being vuneralbe can be so scary, but you are not alone in any of this. I moved across the world in the name of love only to be left heartbroken, re-building on my own in a different country away from everything I knew. It was one of the hardest things I went through, still to this day, but it made me SO strong, it made me stand tall in who I am (even if I had to figure out who I was all over again) it was a journey, it was a rollercoaster, it was confronting and demanding but I would do it all again for who I am now, the strength it gave me, to know that if I could get myself out of that hole, I can do anything. I also went on a journey of just complete and utter selfishly loving on myself, what I need, what I wanted, and learned to become stronger in my voice. It has helped me cultivate a life full of more things I love and less people pleasing, but it is a journey. One that many aren't willing to take as it is uncomfortable. I am cheering you on every step of the way, thank you for sharing this. It definitely hit home and I wish I had used something like this to help me through back then, so i am happy that you have that. You have so much. and you are SO right in saying you already have everything you need within you to overcome this! No external factors will really be able to help you overcome a battle that from the sounds of it, is very much rooted internally. And that's okay. It's a journey of unbecoming, unlearning and discovery. Who you become on the other side of this will be EVERYTHING. and I can promise you that. You will be and should be so proud. we all are so proud of you getting to this point, keep going, day by day! sending all my love and strength! xox

There’s so much I’ve been worried about and little by little I’m starting to learn how much I’m capable of and how much of that fear was just my mind telling me I can’t do something without actually knowing if I could or not! I also loved the part about totally and completely loving yourself. That’s the journey I want. I’ve never lived alone, been by myself like this. I really want to learn how to love myself and give that to myself. I want to be really selfish in the best possible way ♥️

There are already so so so many sweet messages here to support you, Phoebe... I feel for you, sending you a virtual hug. You are strong, you are beautiful, you are young, you are talented. You have no prerequisite whatsoever to not be happy in your life and this happiness is right within you. I know it's hard, but you will see that eventually you would not be able to look back. I have been dating with my partner and later husband for over 8 years, then we broke up after moving to Australia together. Our divorce was brutal, there was insane amount of paperwork and hurdles, travelling to Sydney multiple times over months! Tears, tears, sadness etc. I've moved out, leaving literally everything behind, except bare essentials. And started my "alone" me era, with a not well paid job, completely devastated, same as you. That seem to be the end of the World back then, and I had no idea how can I survive alone and go on. I kept showing up. To work, to the World, discovering Melbourne around me every day as much as I could, travelling as often as I could, quitting my job, and starting to build my career in another place. I tried not to think about the past, only about the future and about the now. Self caring and putting all my power into my professional and personal growth. I have got so much free time, I've red so many books I could not have red in years. I was doing new things I've never done before and had something exciting to look forward every day or week, wether if it's simply a fancy cooked meal at home or bucket list travel. I know it's hard, but it will get easier with time. And it will be the more easy the more you do other things for yourself. This has been incredible, magical time in my life, full of solo experiences, travels and independence that I miss today, true mindfulness. Eventually, and unexpectedly, without even looking for it, I've felt in love again with my new partner and now have much better quality of relationships even after years together (almost 8, and I keep joking to him, that we will break up then). Without that breakup I wouldn't be my current me, stronger, happier, with amazing career and quality relationships. Those things happen for the better, not for the worse, just wait and you will see, it's magic, just try not to look back (again, I know it's hard). If you broke up, it just means those relationships no longer serve you, and, if they no longer serve you both, then why holding to them if you could be happier without? I still love and respect my ex-husband, but this is just a mellow memory and I could no longer imagine my life with him. Nowadays, I sometimes keep coming back to that solo period in my life, and think this was amazing, and today, this simply gives me confidence that even if this would happen again, I will make the most out of it and it seems to be quite exciting. I hope this is not going to happen, but still, I look positively at it if it does happen. If I got through that, I'm sure you can too. Hugs 🤗❤

Thank you so much for sharing, Anna. It's so comforting to hear your own struggles in someone else's words! It's incredibly cruel that we go through this heart-wrenching experience and in the midst of it have to start all this legal, admin stuff and make these huge decisions when all you want to do is crawl into a ball and hide for a while. Reading about your journey starting with nothing and no idea how you'd survive to finding your strength and love again brought me tears. It felt like you were reading all the fears in my soul and putting them to rest. Truly. You've given me a huge amount of hope and faith. I can't say thank you enough.

Even if you don’t want to hear it right now : time heals all things… It took me 3 years, a big trip and a lot of support from friends, family and even a psychologist to get where I am today, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Hi Phoebe, thanks for showing us your vulnerability that’s really hard especially on this forum. I am so sad your hurting and going through your breakup. I know how hard it is and how painful it is, a broken heart is the worst. I have been watching your vlogs for ages and feel your strength and courage shine through. My advice is don’t doubt yourself and spend this time building yourself back up and know you will be happy and loved again in the future. This is heart breaking but it’s also a brand new beginning on the horizon. You will be ok promise!💋 Listen to Ross Rosenberg on YT he’s amazing and will help you understand what makes people tick. Your home work is to be soft with yourself and every time self doubt creeps in, nip it in the bud and remind yourself that you are a beautiful, intelligent, caring, loving and kind human being and deserve to be loved just the way you are. You will not only be ok you will thrive in the not distance future. All my love and hugs xox ❤️💜💙 Ps you are enough!

OMG, I was shocked to see this video pop up! I’m so sorry, this is absolutely heartbreaking. You had me in tears. Congratulations on your bravery. Posting this video took guts. You go girl. I hope you are receiving loads of love and support. I’ve only discovered your videos in recent months while looking up NZ videos for a trip I’m taking in August. I haven’t made my way through all of them yet (I watch them when I go on the crosstrainer) but the ones I’ve watched I’ve absolutely loved. Sadly, you and Matt reminded me of me and Kieran, which makes this news even more devastating. I hope things get brighter as the year continues, and that you find ‘whatever it is’ that makes you feel happy and complete. Ps. It was cool to see your childhood photos. Thanks for sharing.

Oh Phoebe! I am so sorry to hear about you and Matt! I know all to well everything you are going through. When my first husband of 13 years and I separated it was devastating! Especially because we had a 4yr old son. I had so much fear of the unknown, sadness and anxiety about how I was now going to manage raising a child everyday without a partner at home. I didn’t tell anyone, not even my parents about the separation for 6 months! I went through every emotion, fear, extreme loss, grief, anger , depression…all of it and I have to say that it does get better. Getting up everyday and going to work, seeing my son’s face everyday and taking care of him, helped me not to spiral into a really dark place. My Ex-husband and I did co-parent our son and each one of us has re-married. We remain friendly…not always the case in divorces. Our son has lived with me and is still with me…he turns 21 in a few weeks. It was hard for him not seeing his Dad everyday but he too adjusted. He now has two separate families and is grateful for his parents and step-parents. All I can tell you is this: Allow yourself to go through every emotion that hits you when it hits you…there will be many! It’s part of the process to getting back to YOU! Yes, there are so many unknowns and change is hard, especially when you don’t know what is coming. There will come in time a feeling of self-liberation, when you truly realize the freedom you have to live your life without having to include someone else in your decisions. Until you get to that part, you have the support of your loved ones, your fur-babies and of course all of us! You are wrapped in love & support…hope you can feel it!❤ At the end of the day, when everything is stripped away, the most important thing you will always have is YOU and that is monumental in you getting to the end of this very hard road. Take it one day at a time and stay strong. You will grieve for your marriage because it is a massive loss. If there are things you want to hold on to that’s ok but just pack them away. A lot of things I gave to my son as mementos for him to have. You will make it through this and someday meet someone new who will restore your faith in love…I did! He was a guy I knew from High School and we have been married almost 9 years! You got this love! Sending you as much love and hugs as you can handle from NY!! ❤❤❤ P.S. Wishing you a safe journey to your new place and the start of your new life!! 😘

We broke up 3 years ago and there’s much that I’d love to say but the most important that I’m able to share is that is just a matter of time and overcoming a breakup is an individual process that must be embraced. Phoebe, you will get through this. I'm sure many people are telling you this right now. It is true. I went through a divorce after 13 years of marriage and it was one of the worst time of my life. It was also turned out to be one of the best things that has ever happened to me (besides the birth of my children) because it enabled me to become my true self. Keep that wedding present that you love, but pack it away for now. When you unpack it years from now, if it brings back bad memories, then chuck it. But if it still holds a place in your heart, hang onto it.

Oh Phoebe, I am so sorry to hear this. I had a feeling something had happened tbh, I don't know why exactly.. you both seem like such lovely people and it has been a pleasure to watch you and take on your advice about places to visit. Separating doesn't change that fact, I am sure you are both beautiful people who will go on to lead a wonderful life. Your journey up until this point was meant to be with Matt, I mean would you have created Little Grey Box without Matt? But as with friends, family and also lovers, they are not always meant to be in our lives forever, but they are meant to help us grow and learn about ourselves, and everyone who comes into our lives are a blessing, even if it doesn't end quite the way you hoped. I was in a long term relationship and when we separated I felt so lost. I never imagined becoming a single mum, but 5 years on I could not imagine my life any different. I am grateful for my ex for teaching me lots about myself (the good and the bad) and for also giving me my beautiful son. No regrets. I spent the first couple of years after our seperation mending myself, being around people who made me happy, travelling solo, growing as a person. It seems like you have already started on a similar journey and I promise in time you will start to feel whole again. Be grateful for the time you had together, stay friends if you can, but focus on yourself now and healing. I wish you all the best and look forward to watching your solo adventures. From one women to another, I will be rooting for you! Xx

Firstly just want to say I am sending you all the good energy and love. Thank you for sharing and being so vulnerable online! And GIRL I've been where you are multiple times! And each and every breakup was the PRECIPICE of me completely changing my life, my identity, becoming even more confident, self-assured, happy and just vibrant and colourful. I journaled everyday, let myself cry, I wrote down what I learnt from the relationship, how I could improve myself and listed out every single goal I wanted to accomplish in every aspect of my life! I moved from Brisbane to Gold Coast, then Gold Coast to Melbourne (now) and in 3 weeks moving to Bali and starting my trip around the world SOLO! I am so happy and comfortable in my company and so open and ready to call in my dream man too! This will be such an amazing journey for you. I know it's so painful and heartache is soo exhausting so I completely feel you and can empathise. I know you will look back in a year, in 2 years and you would have grown immensely from this experience! ❤Nourish your soul, do things you love, build new friendships, try new things. One day you will look back and you'll remember this time from all the things you DID do and ACHIEVE from this! P.S I also want to say, being single after these breakups pushed me to do so many things I probably wouldn't have done if I had to think of someone else. This is your chance to completely up-level and surprise yourself to becoming THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE (YOU)!!

Phoebe I'm so grateful not only for the amazing content you put out, but also the amount of vulnerability you share with us in your videos. This must have been the most personal video you've put out into the world, and I'm just in awe of your courage. When I went through my divorce it felt like all I ever saw on the internet was happy couples and amazing relationships. While I'm always happy for happy people in love, at that time it made my personal hell feel even darker and more abnormal and embarrassing. I know this journey isn't one you planned on ever making or sharing, but I know your openness about this subject is helping so many people you'll never even know.

Hi Phoebe, my daughter and I are so sorry to hear about this but to be quite honest we kind of felt it coming so we are not very surprised. Please know that you are such a beautiful soul and you are loved by so many people which is telling of who you are and how your personality shines. You are enough and you deserve to be the kind of happy that you dream about. Sometimes when things are not good for us but we don’t wanna take the difficult action to fix it, it happens anyway so that it can open the way to a much better future. It maybe difficult at first or for sometime but trust me it will get better and someday you will look back and realize that this had to happen so your life can go where you need to be. It’s only after you love yourself that things will get better and please never think you are not good enough or it’s your fault, you are more than enough for the right person and all what you are going through was meant to be for the good of future you. I get the feeling that you always put other ahead of yourself but something big had to happen for you to choose you and love yourself first before taking care of another person. My relationship ended before I realized it had. He hadn’t been there for me when I needed him, I didn’t know how to communicate that, and the fallout of that was more than either of us understood at first. I will never regret our relationship because I genuinely believe we were once the right people for each other at the right time, until we weren’t anymore. I first fully realized it was irreparable when I left for a long solo trip and suddenly, from a distance, it was so heartbreakingly clear. I’m so sorry you are going through this and I can’t imagine what it’s been like having to carry on without us all knowing. Thank you for sharing this video. I first discovered your video when I was planning a 2 weeks trip to Thailand Oct last year and been following you even since. Great videos and amazing personality. I split up with my partner about 2 months ago and now I'm leaving NZ for Europe for an open end trip in less than 2 weeks. My whole life I have been making plans and chasing my goals, for the first time I have no plans and I’m a bit lost. Like you said, just keep going and one day at a time. All the best.

So sorry you have had to go through this! Having been through a divorce myself, I can totally relate to the rollercoaster of emotions you are experiencing. I can vouch for the fact you WILL get through it and come out the other side and smile again. I admire you for prioritising yourself and focusing on what you want. I’m at the stage in my life too after being a chronic people pleaser and suffering anxiety and now I feel it’s time ti reclaim my life for me. So I relate to what you said about that too. Sending much love as you embark on the next chapter of this journey called life. Make it your own authentic story xx

This is such a real, almost strangely beautiful thing to share. Such a difficult time, so many emotions and waves to deal with. Yet so many of us go through this. I've been through a divorce years ago and it was rough. Last year also a long term relationship ended and finding myself about to embark on solo travel again soon hey. You're a very real and wonderful human and I'm glad I found you here... One year later I'm sure you're doing much better and for sure the Vietnam videos see you in a much better place. Youre a brave one. We all deal with loss in our own way, and it looks like you have the tools needed to express, expunge, and deal with the grief. Journaling gives context and clarity. Context and clarity doesnt take away pain, but they create a structure to survive in. Your journal just happens to be KZfaq ❤ You have a group of people here all wishing you well. Hope it helps to strengthen your journey. Love xx One life but we're not the same We get to carry each other, carry each other One

Hey Phoebe, I don't know what to say but I couldn't not say anything. This has been painful to watch, but I also loved to see you finding the good, the 'bigger plan' as you said in what is unfolding. Your ability to allow yourself to be raw, vulnerable, and deeply honest is the most special thing about you (I'm saying this as someone who watches your content and obviously I don't know you personally; I'm sure there are many special things about you). I'm very happy to hear that you are done with minimising yourself or playing small. Your community is with you as you step into this new chapter of life and fully own who you are and what you're capable of being. I know it's a long process but we only want the best for you. Sending lots of love and light your way.
