It was so funny when you said paddle pop stick because James Burke goes on rants about their color and how much they remind him of home. Lol (dont ask me how i remember that lol)

This video was really wonderful and inspiring! I’m looking forward to binge-watching your other videos. I adore your “creatures” and love the idea of making imaginary beings so no one (inner critic) can say they are “wrong”. I also liked the tip-in tips (sorry, couldn’t resist)! I always have stacks of plain, unlined index cards (I found great ones at Staples in the US and bought a special pen - which cost more than the cards - to test that they were acid free, which they were!) on my table-desk, in the back of my journal, in my bag, etc. that I use for writing notes, doodling, and even painting on. I did a series of about 50 cards using mostly black and white gouache, I’ve used inks and watercolors on them, and of course collages with lots of washi tape! I have “recipe boxes” filled with old ones... they are kind of my “unjournal” and because they are inexpensive office supplies, I don’t get too “precious” about them. I am definitely going to use them - with your ideas here - for tip-ins. I love all of Jane’s stuff! I have collected almost the entire line (seriously, I’m only missing a couple of things like the girl pencil cups and the marbling kit) and really need to start using it up! I even bought the Aquapastels even though I had just received the full set of Caran D’Ache Neocolor II’s for Xmas. Frustratingly, the other pastel set doesn’t seem to be available anywhere. It was up on Michael’s site but listed as “out of stock” and then it disappeared 👻 entirely. Very strange. I’ve had to buy all of the second series stuff online because my local Michael’s only has the first series stuff (also frustrating!) but it is very exciting to get a big box of new Jane materials in the mail! I go a little nuts with Michael’s and their coupons and sales (I pretty much got everything 1/2 off)... for the longest time the Journal Tattoos were out of stock, so when they finally came back and I had coupons and discounts, I bought 2. After seeing them in Jane’s videos, I knew that if I only bought one, I would keep saving it for something “really special”, which is nuts! So I’m very excited to try your techniques described here. Thank you!
