At the March 2018 meeting of the GFS in Blackpool.
This ukulele was seen in the film "I Didn't Do It" (1945), where George plays 'I'd Like A Dream Like That' and 'The Daring Young Man' on this instrument. This is a post 1930's Gibson UB3 banjo ukulele that George owned and used for some of his tours. Theres a great bit of Pathe newsreel footage of him playing "Down The Old Coal Hole" on it during the Blitz. Formby tribute artist, Alan Randall later owned this ukulele. Thanks to owner John Croft for allowing me to have a go!
