She's not speaking the high elvish tongue. She is speaking Sindarin, the common elvish language. Not Quenya. Arwen does not speak Quenya at all in the films, though she is likely somewhat fluent in it from her royal education, as Quenya was used in history and politics. And perhaps sometimes spoken by the highest elves among themselves, like Galadriel. But rarely publically since it was outlawed and fell out of general usage.

Im 17 now, currently on my second silmarillon read-through. I also remember thinking Arwen/Liv was the definition of beauty. But now? Yes i still think Liv Tyler is the definition of beauty. Especially her soft, angelic voice. Tolkiens work is a masterpiece and the film interpretation is one aswell. That cast/production crew put their entire energy into creating this. I dont think we will ever see their like again. I mean, it took J. Tolkien an entire lifetime to accomplish this and that wasnt even the tip of the iceberg. No fantasy world could be that detailed because i dont think anyone possesses such talent and knowledge for languages and is also interested in creating his own language/world. Gospel of Jesus Christ John 3:16 For God So loved the world that he gave his only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not Perish but have Everlasting Life. Jesus Christ Died for the sin of the World, If you believe in ur heart God risen Jesus from the dead and confess him with ur mouth to people you shall be saved. Jesus said I Am The only way to heaven there is no other way! Repent of urs sins (Repent means Change ur Mind turning away from sinful things and being truly sorry for it.) trust Jesus and give ur life to him He Loves you cares about you more than anyone ever will! we are saved By Grace Trough Faith!,this is sin: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of eternal life in our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23 For all have sined and felt short of the Glory of God. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1:18-21, 23 KJV Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 REPENT OR YOU WILL PERISH REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL GET RIGHT WITH GOD LORD JESUS CHRIST IS COMING SOONER THAN YOU THINK TIME IS RUNNING OUT!.❤

Yes, they're first cousins 63 times removed (which is very very distant anyway). But Aragorn isn't a direct male line descendant of Elros (Elrond's brother who chose to be a human as he & his brother were half-elven and children of Earendil and so could choose to be an elf or a human & Elros became the first king of Numenor) anyway Arwen wasn't born when Elros left middle earth to be king in Numenor anyway. Heres a couple of general family trees: corecanvas.s3.amazonaws.com/theonering-0188db0e/gallery/original/olwe_elwe_tree.jpg i.imgur.com/jQr7JIJ.jpg Hope this helps :)

They probably laugh because what she said seems to actually translate in something else. That would be like saying "voulez vous coucher avec moi" it means "you are the most real and loveable person I have ever met", when it actually translate to "do you wanna sleep with me?"

@@MikaeruDaiTenshi what she said was metaphorical, , Elvish and or middle earthlings spoke in symbolic terms, not too literal like people do now

Man, I remember was a child seeing Liv Tyler the first time in the LOTR series and when I saw her; I was mesmerized like if I saw a bright star. I gazed upon her and I think I said to myself "Is that an angel? She is so pretty 😮😀🤩". Lol, I am sad and happy about this. Sad that it was over, but happy that it existed. So as one of the many special things to me, I will keep this special memory that is a part of childhood with me on my heart.

thank you for uploading I know it was uploaded 15 years ago ......I miss this type of interview where the casts are just solely focus on their acting and on the beautiful lore of Tolkien, alot of care and respect is just shown from the actors...now compare that to those recent cast of Amazon RoP who speaks more like an activist than actors....talking identity politics all the time, representation, diversity and all combined lol 😄😄

shes so pretty she was just how i imagined arwen to look like when i was reading the books
@Churro_Flaminguez3 жыл бұрын
I like how Liv's natural voice is a little higher-pitched and girlier, but when she talks as Arwen her voice drops into a lower register & sounds "smokier", almost sexy yet ethereal. Kind of like Cate Blanchett as Galadriel. Those two were superbly cast. We'll never not think of Cate and Liv's faces or hear their voices when thinking of those two Elves.
