The Kingdom Come suit Brandon Routh wore during Crisis is straight up on of the greatest live action superhero suits EVER. It’s even more impressive that the CW made it.

When I saw you place the current Superman & Lois suit lower, I was confused but curious as to what you're number one would be. But seeing as you had place the Fleischer suit, I wholeheartedly agree. I remember as a kid watching the older cartoons in my grandma's house. So seeing that suit brought into live action was amazing

Pretty sure Zack Snyder said the Man of Steel suit had absolutely no muscle padding in it. He wanted to show off Cavil's hard work by making the suit as thin as possible so Henry's physique would show through. I could be wrong but I thought I read it somewhere.

Honestly the Superman and Lois suit is the best it's like the character was ripped straights off of the comics. A close second would be the Superman Returns suit, I just really don't like the underpants at all and every time I see it it's just corny but everything else on the suit is great. If it weren't for the underpants Superman Returns suit would be first.

I like how he didn't even mention the off-centered "S" on the Josstice League suit.

My ideal suit is just the new CW suit with less padding it's modern bit classic at the same time I know channel pup likes classic spandex looks but I've always just preferred classic inspired looks with modern materials like the mcu spiderman suits or honestly most of the mcu suits

I have to disagree with your thoughts on the BVS suit. For one I think the colours are better as they are more vibrant, yet still dark, the symbol on the chest is a more appropriate size as is not too big or too small. And the trade from the oval shaped buckle to the rectangular buckle just works better for me. To me I consider it to be my personal favourite on screen super man suit.

But Dean Cain's suit wasn't black, it had all the classic colours. How did it not count? And George Reeves' suit was in colour for the second half of the show.

I think that the MoS suit was a perfect modernisation except for the faded red used for the chest symbol and cape colour. I think that there'd could have been little brighter. but otherwise it is perfect

I feel you about the Fleischer suit. Dean Cain is my #1 suit. It's fabric, it's tight, it looks good on cam. Then probably Reeve, Fleischer, Kingdom Come Routh, MoS, Hoechlin S&L, BvS, Routh SR, JL, Hoechlin Supergirl.

I just honestly LOVE seeing different adaptations of Superman’s suit. Because there’s some good within each suit. Although the MoS suit is my favorite, and I take most inspiration from that suit in my own Superman design, I still take inspiration from the other suits, especially Christopher Reeves’ suit with the trunks and yellow \S/ on the cape. I honestly do agree with this list and honestly I feel the same way with this list. Also, Superman and Lois is just… so good, it’s so good and so perfect, it feels so different from any other CW show and I love it! Can’t wait for the next episode

My favorite live action Superman suit is an obscure one. It is the suit Dean Cain wore in the pilot of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Just the pilot. In pretty much all subsequent episodes, it was a different suit, and it looked kind of bad. But in the pilot, there is a montage of Martha Kent making costumes for Clark. The one they finally decided on is my favorite suit. The blue is darker than the pale blue of Christopher Reeve's suit, but the red is still bright. The symbol is the right size and height on his chest. The trucks look less like underwear.

My ranking would have to be 1. Reeve 2. Fleischer 3. Crisis 4. Modern S&L suit 5. Returns 6. BvS and MOS (I know they're vastly different but I rank them at the same level) 7. 2017 JL 8. Arrowverse suit

My favorite is easily the Kingdom Come suit. Which was also the most popular in the poll I did in a big group. The Justice League and Man of Steel suits are my least favourite. JL went too far with the fake muscles, and the MoS suit is far too muted.

If they tweak( adjust the padding, adjust the neckline, remove the shading around muscles) the current superman and Lois suit, it'll be the best live action suit. The Fleischer suit is my current favorite, cuz it looks so old timey and cheesy, yet iconic in its own innocent way. I always hated the cavill suits, the fake abs remind me of Joel Schumacher batmen suits. And Chris Reeves will always look like the definitive Superman, so he'll always be the winner.

I actually really like the metallic muscle suit for Henry's Superman. Obviously it looks like trash in JL, but the BvS suit is perfect. It really ties into him being the "Man of Steel"

i really liked the justice league suit, but like a really specific version that's on a few of the posters, it's the look against the black background that i think really works and just looks great, the colours especially work against the back background, it's just the right mix of modern day update while still staying true to the original comic and being a nice homage to the chris reeves superman suit, it's just got the best of everything

I did not like the Man of Steel suit. In fact, just the DCEU Superman costumes don’t work for me. Even the logo in the DCEU, I dunno, I just don’t like it. My favorites have gotta be the modern-day Superman and Lois suit and the Kingdom Come suit. And this is gonna be controversial, particularly under a channel pup video cuz you love Henry Cavill’s Superman, but honestly I feel much more like I’m watching Superman when I’m watching either Brandon Routh or Tyler Heoclin and feeling like that really helps sell me on the suit they’re in as well.

I think the only suit I don't really agree with you on, entirely at least, is the Superman Returns suit. I like that it looks like a normal suit that a dude could wear without the really obvious muscles, and it contours "respectfully" vs when you can tell there are pieces in other suits, if that makes any sense. The colours and belt/briefs, I mostly agree with, though.

For me, that Kingdom Come suit is the best live Superman suit. It's right out of the comics like the 78/80 suit was, but I don't like that era.

the best SUPERMAN suite Ive ever seen to date is...the MAN OF STEEL costume (I don't know if it was changed any in subsequent films or not) he is after all an Alien & so the costume should have that...over worldly metallic look to it & UNDERSTANDING this it did, the chainmail look worked symbolically as well (I didnt like the...Angel type references in the hip waste areas though) they wisely understood that he needed to be a more believable shade of blue as well, unlike in the original 1978 film & so he was. plus they dropped the lifeguard 50s trunks belt/pants look to.

I'm afraid that you missed two live action suits. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the actor wore this but it was the classic black and white first live action suit that was also featured on I Love Lucy. The second suit was actually from the avengers of Lois and Clark New adventures of Superman. Not going to count the Smallville suits because they're not the classic Superman outfits. May want to actually update this list just because they also featured the Superman live suit that was featured in The flash movie. Note: I don't know if or when they're going to do the black and silver Solor suit in the future but I'm still waiting for a classic Doomsday to appear. I know one was featured in Smallville, the movie one don't really care for, and the newest one was pretty good, haven't seen krypton's doomsday yet except for some clips. I had an idea if they were going to make a new Superman and they're going to, for the suit. The suit would actually react to Superman's charged level from the solar energy and his emotional state of mind. Certain colors would be more vibrant than others if he emotions or state of mind is altered. Do you think it's a good idea?

I love the yellow. here's my philosophy on why the black only works on kingdom come. black is associated with darkness or the absence of light. light is a way or form of hope. the black represents a dark void/ absence of hope. therefore with hope not having a colour you use the colour of earths source of light and superman's source of power, earths yellow sun. I like a slightly desaturated yellow just to contrast the bright blue and red. kindom come was black to show the absence of hope or light in superman after the daily planet attack. explained by brandon routh also in crisis on infinite earths aswell. so I do love the black but to me it doesn't really fit superman or the overall suit pallet either. also his favourite spider-man is ditko, his favourite ironman is mark 5. his favourite superman is fleicher. so literally he likes classic costumes but you change the secondary colour.

I believe Tylers suit that he wore on Supergirl was designed to only be worn for a few days and not multiple seasons.

For me, the modern Superman and Lois suit isn't perfect, mainly because of the shoulder and chest parts of the muscle suit that making him look a bit disproportional, but I feel a really good feeling when looking at it.

Have you seen how strong Tyler's naked torso is? I don't believe it. I'm telling you, it's not necessary to give him fake muscles, just give him spnadex attached to the body, a collar at the level of the clavicle, a cape gathered at the deltoids and with a good long and prominent fall, and a symbol the size of his pecs, and his training will do the rest.
