Wow aren't you a fucking genius. If it solved the issues just like that I'm sure Ange would have done it. Fixing Set Pieces isn't going to magically fix our season. There's far more important stuff on the ball in the attacking phases that need more focus than whether or not we defend set pieces. Set pieces can be worked on in the summer. We need to work on the other stuff now. Ange knows this. He knows exactly what he is doing. Have faith. He's only been in charge 8 months. Any rebuild is always a struggle the first season. Guardiola, Klopp Arteta all struggled in their first seasons.

@@baileyjones5744 He's not doing it. I am not a genius, but I have played the game, coached, and managed teams. I started playing the game at school in Wood Green in 1956. I have supported my local team, Tottenham Hotspur through thick and thin, all of my life, 75 years. My father and grandfather supported our team before me, and my father was a life long season ticket holder. What I know is this. At set pieces you need to cover the back post, and be available to attack the ball with your back to goal. Ange's defenders do not do this, and it is a basic error. You won't convince me otherwise, and you certainly won't deter me from holding, and expressing my point of view by being offensive. Never.

We are struggling to commit to the high press but the players are trying. But they are failing, so it’s not the players fault but they are at fault for it not working, but that’s Anges issue as it’s down to the Enviroment on the training ground. We are a long way off where Ange wants us to be but we can compete for titles next year. I imagine our summer signings will be another bunch of players with potential and no proven track record. It all just lacks conviction right now just like our forward play. Ange and the scouting team have already decided what they need months ago. I hope that included a set piece specialist coach. This is a carbon copy of last season with the exception that these first ten games were really full throttle. It’s been second gear football from match day 11 onwards. Richy, Timo and Johnson boosted things for a few games but now we have lost that momentum too. With more games next season I expect more injuries, with more injuries and more tiredness I’m thinking 8th or 9th. So unless we have a huge clear out and buy a top level center forward, central midfielder and left back I cannot see us progressing. We have a squad now we need to add quality.

some very dumb comments on here........ange is a great coach and as the team shapes it will be competing at the very top....those who are calling for his head now, dont know how to build a successful team - hint - you don't do it in 1 season!! i am happy to site some obvious examples.

How many seasons? Surely with our start he was onto something no? Teams worked us out, Ange tweaked things with Richy for a few games and got found out again. Would you keep hold of Ten Hag if you were a United fan? Yes things have gone well for the gooners, I understand that but the interviews concern me.

Let's keep things in perspective: Spurs were the superior side last weekend vs Arsenal, based on the balance of play. They were robbed by Michael Oliver & VaR, in the 1st half - at a critical moment when Tottenham were dominant. We deserved nothing vs Chelsea and I am sure that the NLD fiasco didn't help!

Lol no they weren't. Arsenal tactically were imperious. They allowed spurs to play and soaked up the pressure and hit on the counter. Arsenal were in cruise control and could have been 4 or 5 before Raya's mistake. Raya did not have to make a single save in the entire game lol. Arsenal were never troubled and only had to dig deep due to their own mistakes. It was very comfortable for Arsenal otherwise. You are absolutely deluded. If anything Arsenal showed a blueprint on how to beat Spurs. Possession doesn't mean anything. Chelsea had more possession than Arsenal in a 5-0 loss just to give an example.

Yep. Spurs were miles ahead of Arsenal. Both home and away. As for the set piece issue, Arsenal weren't impressive in set pieces last season. They recruited Rice(6'2) and Havertz(6'5) and got better at set pieces. There's no immediate solution to Spurs' set piece issues. The solutions are in the transfer market. Give the man some damn time. Trust the process.

In his first season Ange has us playing a far more attractive, entertaining brand of football, results to date are better than last season and we lost the equal best striker in the prem league … ffs look at the positives people

Did you just watch the highlights? Our Xg is poor, our shots on and off target are abysmal. What about the way we have been playing after the first ten games has been consistently attractive to watch? It’s like you’re making statements without watching us actually play. The fans who watch us week in and week out are just saying what they are seeing on the pitch mate.

I have a lot of faith in Ange and can take a lot of positives from this season. At the same time I can’t help but think that when we were playing dynamic, attractive football at the start of the season, opposition didn’t know what to expect from us. Our attacking football of late has been ineffective and unattractive (Villa game excluded) lateral passes, indirect, can’t break down low blocks etc. I’m hoping it’s a loss of confidence since all the injuries but I’m concerned teams have worked us out a bit- maybe the reason for the cynicism idk

Your right, had the first 10 performances happened in the last 10 game we could say he is building something. As it stands everything is slowing getting worse. I did think we were at the races against the scum but again he neglected set pieces. That cost us a result and his arrogance/ ignorance cost us heavily. A few tweaks could change the situation, we 100% would be top 4 if we had a set piece coach. That would have made us all happy as Larry in reality. A horrible end of season run in will really hurt us. I didn’t expect anything more than 6 points in the last 6 games based on how we have been playing to be fair. Chelsea are our bogey team, the other three are all above us and playing much better football.

Yep Jim! Weve spent the 5th highest of any prem club and the 7th highest wage bill of any prem club. We are where we are because Levy is stingy. Still at least if you can afford one of the most expensive seats in the prem you get to look everywhere but the pitch and the score board and be amazed at what’s been built. Just don’t buy a drink or any food as it’s an instant £20 swipe 👍

@@jimtheyid same here Jim, I’m not being patronising, I was shocked Villa spend more on wages than us, especially when you think of all the players out on loan. We must have a huge yearly bill for that stadium. Levy has the most experience of any prem chairman but no clue how to win anything. So many failed player investments, he’s become the Mike Ashley of the south!
