I have been listening to her for a long time and cannot find anything to criticize in her, Gestures are ones manodharma , and the sole purpose of music in enjoyment : after all, God is Sat Chit Ananda, so i cant see why some negative, sarcastic comments were made.

NJ Nandini - heavy voice and an artist who is musically very capable. Having said that, it seems NJ Nandini has lost focus on her music. She seems to have a liking for page 3 (which is perfectly alright) and hence, I feel that her music has got diluted. Her body language and self presentation on stage is not up to the mark. More interested in fun, smiles and other histronics.... the stage didn't have that "gouravam". Also, did I see an element of arrogance or proud feeling? Especially the way she talked to her student who was handling the tambura? (maybe I am wrong, I am not trying to judge). Rishabhapriya had some brilliance... But the Nayaki Deekshitar piece ... was just average Nothing remarkable about BK Kammath or Gokul or Sreejith... they all joined NJ Nandini in smiling, joking and other on-stage histronics (afterall there is no such rule that people should have a serious face on-stage)... so perfectly fine... Quality of Music goes for a toss if focus shifts on other stuff like "looking good on stage", "unwanted smiles" etc. look at these musicians, artists should take a cure from them - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iZaFnpNjvK7Ic2Q.html late Mani Krishna Swami, and now Sumitra Vasudev... are some rare artists who dont focus on other things... they just focus on music
