The joinery on those handles is absolutely amazing. I really like the overall look of this desk. I think if I were to change anything (not very likely though), I would paint or powder coat the metal, but the unfinished metal gives it a more rustic look which is great looking too. AWESOME JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

My Grandfather was a huge woodworker/metal worker when I was growing up and I definitely caught that bug. He would have loved this build, as it incorporates both trades he loved. Awesome desk. Keep the videos coming!

Of all the woodworkers on KZfaq you make by far the best videos! I always thought it was not possible to mach the music to the woodworking because there are no big power hammers or so that always hit with the same beat... But you found a way that everything fits so perfectly and smooth together.... Its a huge joy to watch your videos! I also love the table... The metal base the live edge and the fancy joinery are just unbelievable good looking and in an awesome composition...

I wasn’t so sure about the crazy drawer fronts at first glance but after looking again and especially after watching you build them I actually love them now. They are a part of the story of the piece. I like exposed joinery and this takes it to another level and even becomes functional. Really cool.

Incredible! I had an incredibly similar idea come to mind (minus the cabinet and swap the live edge slab for a workbenchy laminate) and somehow i never came across this video until 5 months later! Beautiful work, truly inspiring

I haven’t read all the comments, so this is probably been said before. What you have done is a lovely locked mortise and tenon joint with a delightfully carved locking mechanism that doubles as your drawer handles! Nicely done! I also really like your Japanese handsaws. Have some like that myself and love them.
