Don't know if anyone mentioned T-Bone the guitar player with the cowboy hat. He was one of Daryl's best friends and collaborators. He passed away and you can notice on some of these shows after his passing, there is a big picture of him on the wall.

Chromeo is that band I throw in to dance and forget the world. They're 80s synth/funk nerds and their collab is what brought me to Daryl's house ages ago. Check out Tenderoni from the session, it's a delight. It's so weird to compare it to their studio recording because in my head so much of the Chromeo sound is crafted on the mixing board. For a good time try Tenderoni, Hot Mess, Fancy Footwork, Sexy Socialite, Frequent Flyer, Don't Sleep... So many others! Clorox Wipe!

i revere hall and oates and everything but i've probably listened to this version of the song about 10 million times. highly recommend chromeo, too! i was a fan of both before i found the live at daryl's house episode but it immediately made me sad that i didn't see chromeo + daryl hall live back when they were touring together. this session is undoubtedly pure magic.

You need to checkout Darryl's House with Chromeo "Lowdown". The tube isn't used, but his partner is still on keyboards. Great rendition.....you will love it!!!

Great song and band that was live omg nothing like the old and new coming together. I saw Hall & Oates in 84 I was 15 in Montreal. I just read in comments that Chromeo is from Montreal way to go that was awesome.

What a great this performance was of this song, also my favorite tune from Hall & Oates, Jamel. I was also lucky enough to see them in concert around '73-'74 or so. They were the warm up group for another performer at a rather small venue in Minneapolis, Mn., nobody knew of them at the time. I remember they were so great, I turned to my friend & asked "Who are these guys again?" to make sure I would remember their names. ( they were better than the headliner IMO) Very soon after, their first hit song was being played on the radio. We all know how it went after that!
