We've completely removed the NVIDIA power limit with an XOC BIOS for the EVGA RTX 2080 Ti Kingpin card. We're also using the Classified OC software, liquid nitrogen, and KINGPIN's new Icon pot. Our goal now is to see how far we can push memory and GPU core, hoping for at least a 2500MHz GPU core, but we'd like to see higher. Join the stream to see if we can do it!

Gamers Nexus, People were saying that loop order didnt matter, and then you started talking about how GPU temps effect clocks. No one is arguing that GPU temps don't effect clocks. The point is that once loop temp equilibrium is reached, the loop order wont effect the temperature of the GPU or the CPU by any meaningful amount. Those temps are going to be determined by the heat energy dissipation capacity of your radiators

Yes of course ambient matters, but changing ambient temps arent going to have an effect on whether loop order matters or not, that would be assumed to be a constant

@@SoupRKnowva Depends how much flow/restriction you have and how extreme the power draw is of the components. I got up to an 8C coolant temp difference from coolest point to hottest point in a loop with a 380w power limit 2080 ti + 2950x pulling 250w with 5 x 360 radiators and a single 140. Even with 2 x D5s in serial @ 100% it was too restrictive to reduce the temp difference between sensors so I had to split it into dual loops where there would be only one heat source per loop and more efficient flow since serial pumps doesn't double flow. The 2080 ti eventually got moved to my 9900k rig. The 8C would have been enough to drop a second 2080ti's boost clock by like 30MHz if it had been placed in the the wrong part of the loop.

LN2 is used in dermatology. I had a few breakouts as a kid and they would put that stuff on my face. Was quite fun.

Stanley! Simply the best vacuum thermos. I wouldn't trust a Starbucks, Chinese welds to that extreme cold. I've had a Starbucks thermos lose its vacuum to thin air. Plus the insulation factor on those bad boys. There's a reason they make almost the exact same thing to this day (the only changes have been in the lid and lid threading).

These RIP and overclocking streams have made me get some older GPUs for O/C. currently have most of the hwbot records for the R7 250x. The older cards with the dumb buck controllers make is easy to pencil mod the resistors for more power. cooling done with a cheap ebay waterblock.

when it hits full thermal saturation whats the temp difference between in and out of rad if its not a high enough delta it may not fall into the gpu stepping for gpu boost.

Wow don't use a plain ol' sharpie as a "permanent" solution. They fade though in a work space where the mats will be, may not be an issue. IDeally, get something pigmented like a calligraphy/art marker (micron/copic), or sharpie's "extreme fade resistant."

I agree with your comment on gaming - but I am a huge gamer. It's only as much of a waste as the fun you get out of it, and yeah it IS the same thing. Just like how I enjoy tossing new parts in my PC even though it already runs every game over 4K at high frame rates with near instant load times blah blah... there literally isn't additional GAMING performance to be created with it - yet, I will still toss new parts into it before terribly long. LN2 is "pointless" as a cooling solution. It's not pointless from a testing perspective - and PC enthusiasts naturally become tinkerers... it's only about as pointless as anything I do for sheer enjoyment. I don't find gaming to be "pointless", I find it to be one of the best expenditures of time I can make. It's the time I enjoy the most. That's got to account for something.

Don't lump the 1650 with a 1030 lol. The 1650 would be great for introducing ppl to pc gaming. I had a 1050 ti before my 2060 and it was surprisingly good on 1080p.

@@ConeJellos if you look at 3dmark scores the kingpin cards run at 2130,2145,2160,2175,2190 most commonly on air. So maybe your misunderstanding me or I phrased my comment poorly, but these cards for a fact run in offsets of 15mhz

As an organic chemist I must say that I see many opportunities for serious nitrogen burns. You should handle that stuff carefully and ALWAYS cap it. The day someone carelessly knocks over that doer... and it splashes on your hand... you'll wish you had.

@GamerzNexus I recently purchased a rtx kingpin card and i had a little glitch with my memory. It for some odd reason down clocked 200mhz to 6800mhz total, temperature was 36c and it had been idling on windows for a couple hours. and I defaulted the card back to the original settings and it still wasn't working. A system restart finally defaulted the card back to 7000mhz on memory. I wanted to ask if you have had any issues regarding any memory down-clocking.

Custom bios and classified software that only works with the kingpin card. It's available to ALL kingpin owners. So if you buy one you can access the no power limit bios and tool.

I wish with these OC streams that they would focus more on the overclocking then super chats, joe seems to be doing all this work, adjusting clocks, running benchmarks and the talk is about signed mouse pads, they need to have a dedicated camera focused on the OC screen, so the viewers can see what is happening, what settings are being applied and what high scores are getting broken! I came here to see how far a KingPin card can be pushed, not hear about someone wondering if they can get a signed mouse pad.

@@BeardedHardware In the stream you beat der8auer and K|NGP|N scores by 200 points for single GPU, there was no talk about that, there was no in depth conversations about what clocks and settings was used, it was 3:43:39 talking about super chats and a mouse pad.

It's actually more dangerous to wear gloves with LN2. The LN2 will roll of your skin but if you wear gloves the LN2 will freeze the gloves and give you frost bite.

@@kins888 I was told this by a science lab technician while working in his lab. You can literally put your hand into a cup of LN2 and the leidenfrost effect protects you. The only time they where gloves is when handling things that they froze. The safety glasses they used was to protect their eyes if a beaker broke form being frozen too fast. It sounds crazy but its true. Check it out on KZfaq.
