Tim and your staff are the heroes who try to safe koalas. Thank you all sincerely. 😘 I love koalas, I feel that it might not be safe to release some of the koalas that were safe from recent fire back into the wild because the threat of fire is never ending , isn't it better to keep them safe within the sanctuary?

Thank you for another wonderful video. How does their breeding rate compare to wild koalas? I’m also wondering if one of your aims is to set them free. Also, does Australia have a reforestation program in place for their beloved eucalyptus trees?

Did the Koalas which came to Longleat in England come from near you Tim? They call them Southern Koalas. I live quite near to Longleat so hope to be able to go there to see their Koalas when my mobility improves. Hugging a Koala is top of my bucket list but it will have to be at Longleat as it's only about 40 miles from me. much closer than Aus

Where can we ask these kind of questions? I have one that noone asked before; Can koalas eat any other food like apples, other fruits, maybe other kind of leaves, lettuce spinach? I seen in a yt video a koala holding an apple, but could it be possible to have that in their diet regularly or is it any good for them?
@lmaree2008864 жыл бұрын
They have evolved to only eat gum leaves but some animals may wander to other plants like the leaves of camphor laurel, macadamia and olive tree leaves, bark, flowers, termites and native crab apples. Fruit and vege is a very rare meal for koalas and its not been researched enough if they can live on that. Those videos are of the rare koalas that like weird treats!
@emilyoftheemeraldcity3 жыл бұрын
This is driving me crazy that the dude doesn't recognize that his volume of voice and constant hand and body movement while holding the precious koala, is making her uncomfortable and she is looking very nervous and searching and reaching for a stable secure (and quiet and still) place to hang out. I love that he is passionate about educating and he is a good speaker, but those things that make him good- it's clear that the adorably chill koala isn't 100% in love with it. I want to hold her SO bad!!!!
not seen any habitat revovery yet no video about the burnt forests yet

These guys are filming from The Australian Reptile Park that's in Somersby, an hours drive north towards the Central Coast from Sydney in New South Wales. You can only hold a koala at certain zoos and wildlife parks in Queensland, South Aus and Western Aus. It's illegal in all other states and territories.

I subscribe for reptiles, and end up getting koala bears. How stupid. You should change your channel name. You should probably change your park name, too.
@lmaree2008864 жыл бұрын
First koalas are not bears but marsupials. Second this park has had its name (even though its moved locations) since 1958, I doubt they give a crap about one insignificant person like you whining about their name! Go watch something else!
@CooManTunes4 жыл бұрын
@@lmaree200886 They're known, universally, as koala bears, you asshat. :'D I'm sure they don't care about people, like me. This is why they get so little views on most of their videos. When I read the word 'reptiles', I expect to see reptiles.
