LIVE | Minneapolis PD to release bodycam footage from shooting that killed Officer Mitchell

The Minneapolis Police Department on Friday will release body-camera footage from the mass shooting that left Officer Jamal Mitchell dead, as well as a police shooting on June 12. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara will hold a press conference at 11:30 a.m. on Friday where he'll "walk through" the body camera footage and "answer any questions."

So everybody in the news is aware many of you are responsible for what is happening in this country & taking place here. Stop being part of the problem . Prosecutors that don’t prosecute because they’re getting big paydays .. because they got elected from a lot of big out of town money people like Soros that want to see this country descend to chaos. People like Obama who’ve never literally lived a life of service or gave so much. These people ran to the danger. I am so sorry. I am so sorry for all the rhetoric that has gone on in this country for a few years and the politicians that capitalized on it sickening the rest of us knew that end result. It was heartbreaking. Thank you to all the officers that protect and serve we owe you a debt we can never repay. I am so sorry for the family and co workers. Media is sick. The cops are dying everywhere. Such a tragedy.

Absolutely horrific. They are supposed to stand up there acting stoic when it’s obvious this is very hard to watch. No need for them to have to appease the masses and act like they’re robots. Outside of Minneapolis and most major cities these officers would be praised and encouraged. I live in such a place and it kills me to see what these officers endure due to a whining, vindictive minority.

Whoever was filming this from Fox 9 should be canned. When the video was on he was focused on the police standing there so didn’t we the first clip at all. The next video he couldn’t even zoom in. He should have only showed the video. It took the video guy 7:48 seconds to figure out how to zoom in to the video. A serious problem. Poor job of videoing. Now I have to go see where else I can watch the video as apparently the guy from fox couldn’t figure it out. Frustrating. Hire someone else that is capable.

Bodycams are a no-brainer now. I'm glad we get to see the work these cops do, what we ask them to do. I can't do what they do and most you can't either. Man, that was some bad camera work at the beginning, show us the screen not the cops standing there. Suggests we don't deal with this shit in Mpls often.

18:43 So... Mumin runs up behind his partner (Langford) at the corner of the white van, the suspect is against the fence in front of them. Rather than allowing Langford to USE the van as cover, Mumin pushes him forward OUT OF COVER just so he can take a few shots at the suspect too. What's wrong with this picture? MPD was fully staffed while Bobby was in the federation for many years so your point is moot. The Officer was killed because he did not have warrior training, buddy. The Officer was in guardian mode trying to save a life instead of looking for an active threat; that's how he got ambushed. So who looks ignorant and bias now? Please tell me how I'm wrong.
