I’m worried about the Braves. Elder stinking it up not scoring runs. I know last year was special and they were going to repeat it but the bats have to get going. Sorry to go off topic but I had to do some venting.

The only reason that the Yankees are above the Orioles is they've played more games. Lost their series to the Orioles lossing the division lead than simply playef more games than them 33-15 Yankees 29-15 Orioles.

Please tell me which other teams you would want the yankees to play in the American League, since you think it's been "creampuffs" they won the series against CLE, TWINS, DETROIT, CHW,TB, TOR, HOU Idk who you really want them to face lol......

No the twins were the hottest team in baseball and the ya is swept yes the Sox and terrible but there 6-1 on the Astros and have been great vs the diamondbacks,rays,blue jays, guardians and tigers

I don’t know how, but the Twins just forget how to play baseball when they play the Yankees , I didn’t see *any* good play, bad pitching, bad base running, bad defense… but for me personally, the Yankees are #1 just a dominating performance from everyone. 26 straight scoreless innings, then less than 2 runs given up to the White Sox. Just a complete effort from everyone.

Yankees-Twins is the most one-sided relationship in sports. 104-42!! 13-0 in the playoffs since Game 2 of the 2004 ALDS!!

This is my list Jim 1. Yankees 2. Dodgers 3. Phillies 4. Orioles Only reason I don't put the Phillies over the Yankees or Dodgers is strength of schedule

If the Phillies actually played some good teams, I'd be more inclined to say they are #1. But the fact is, they haven't. Can they be the #1 team after they do? Absolutely. But at this time, I'd go with the Yankees 1 since they've performed against winning teams. Where the other 3 places, I'd be fine and wouldn't debate someone on. I have Yanks 1, Dodgers 2, Phillies 3, and O's 4. Thinking though, I think O's outside of 4th I could have some push back on, but not enough to argue.

Yankees should be #1. Their record is one game worse than the Phillies and they've played 22 games against >.500 teams (+10 against Houston and Arizona) while the Phillies have played 3, and they were the first three.

Agreed, Phillies are a solid #3 but they just don't have the strength of schedule to top the Yankees or Dodgers who are only 1-2 games behind. If the gap was bigger then they might have an argument to be #1. But they just don't have the strength of schedule to be on top for such a miniscule gap.

Nope. Different Competition. Pitching universally better on phillies. no flaws in it. Runs coming from everywhere and lots of them. Deep team. 😄

Yankees are 1st in ERA and 2nd in wRC+, Phillies are 4th and 6th. 'Different Competition' is just worse competition because the NL is so weak
