@@598bryce If they do that theyre not supposed to. Theres a newish policy in the US called "good samaritan laws". Basically if youre reporting an overdose to police or paramedics you cant be charged and neither can the person overdosing. It saves lives because no one would call an ambulance for an ODing person if they thought they were going to jail because of it. Thats how you get OD victims dumped in hospital parking lots and on the side of the road. Unfortunately good samatitan laws arent universal in the US. We still have a long way to go with our drug policy imo

I've been clean for a year now. Hardest thing I've ever done. cold turkey by myself. That day I O.d and was given Narcan, that first gasp of air I took after I stopped breathing was me being reborn. don't give up on these people. they aren't the drugs they do.

M Bay that's a horrible thing to say. You are a disgusting person. So people who have drug issues should kill themselves? I had a gun stuck to my head and I anxiety and PTSD . The guy dislocated my shoulder and held hostage for six hours. I was a therapist for mental health. And I was "on his turf". So I had an issue with pills . Until your in that person's shoes I suggest you sit down and shut up with your classless comments.

@@ripdiptatterchip3851 not true. Is it safer to snort vs IV? yes but that doesn't mean snorting isnt dangerous. Especially with so much of what's going around having fent in it. I just don't advise feeling any false sense of safety when actively using heroin. Acknowledge the possibility of danger and act accordingly, that's the best way to combat overdoses. Unfortunately not everyone is always willing to take the extra steps and these things happen so NARCAN IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!! Please be safe, all I'm trying to say.

forfunofun i’m js i had 5 of my friends who snorted herion dips all through out 11-12th grade an into college, an i had 2 friends that in-lined herion with niddles, and sadly they’re both dead now . the other people are clean an all holding good jobs

I had to do the same to my brother n actually watched him lose pulse scariest night. It was like 2 am ... if i wasnt getting cereal i wouldve never heard him havin trouble breathing n would never kn ok w he was overdosing. Called the ambulance n they saved his life

xTYA Paladin you need to learn how to human mind is, yes it’s his choice but most addicts are covering up something from their past that they have never been able to deal with, but they found something that magically covers it up for them and ruins their lives. It’s a pit of destruction and even though it was their choice, you can’t treat it like it’s not an important issue. People love these people that are addicted, and they could easily be gone from their lives forever. If you wish that kind of pain on anyone you have some mental issues of your own to fix, and please do so you can learn to be heartfelt

Ethan Bates heroine is still a big problem inside of prisons, they don’t get away from it ever. They just keep on getting high and then they get out and get even higher, or attempt to and end up overdosing because what they got in prison was bad or what they got that’s new in the streets is laced.

I was once this person. We are not scum!!! We are someone’s daughter/son, we are someone’s mom/dad, we are someone’s aunt/uncle, we are humans and we matter. We are not that drug, the drug takes over us. But step number one in recovery is realizing we have become powerLESS over our drug of choice and that our lives have become unmanageable and step 2 is realizing something greater out there has kept us alive this long and we have something to keep living for without the drug. Love others!! It’s key to life

Telling the girl to step back multiple times was a little over the top. She was just concerned and obviously no threat, however I did appreciate the admonishment at the end. It's amazing how fast NARCAN works.

Heroin is Very Powerful. I OD at the family reunion. They took me to hospital. The next morning I was coping the sicknesses is horrible.

This was my boyfriend last night and a nightmare became a reality. It went exactly like this. And I will never FORGET IT. His first time using the drug because his mom wouldn’t shut up about the drug. He was turning blue. He was gasping for air. He was pale and cold. His eyes were rolled back in his head. I remember screaming at the top of my lungs for him to wake up and he wouldn’t. If I never woke up he would have been dead. Thank the lord he’s okay.

Sadly couldn’t save my brother in time and he overdosed in the restroom 😪💔 I will always carry that guilt over me that I should’ve found him sooner

There is always hope, no joke. I along many other human beings have succumbed to addiction for one reason or another. Either this life or the next you learn your lesson. Hopefully we all will all achieve enlightenment. I had the most remarkable experience about a year ago. Call it God, "the flow of life", or anything else you want but I pulled myself together. If you harbor hate I am sorry, addict or not we all are one in the same. Love one another, hold hope in your heart. I can't promise it will help, however I do guarantee that doing the opposite will have negative results for those who are afflicted by which ever drug that infests their life. except for certain psychedelics. : ) Everyone has their own path to take, yet all roads lead to the same ending. I hope you all have a great day.

when ppl survive it makes me so happy. I've lost so many friends and family. I've had so many ppl leave my friends dying cuz they are scared of jail...one of my friends as taken out of the home by his so called friends and they left him. there was 4 ppl and only 1 got in any trouble for dumping a body. so fked up. miss these ppl everyday. addiction does not discriminate. it will take anyone
