That's true until they do something to stop it. I was in a relationship similar to this one. It's like it got worse when I got pregnant with my daughter I had to leave when he threatened to kill me and my boys. We ended up in a DV shelter in Conroe Texas

Yes she’ll prob take him back but people don’t understand that when you’ve grown up being abused or mistreated you don’t have an idea of how to create boundaries or have much self worth so you let people abuse you. Hopefully one day it sinks in to her and she’ll get away. My life-changing decision was the moment I looked into my 3 month old daughter’s eyes while my ex was berating me was the moment I knew I had to break the cycle and set a better example for her. It’s hard but once you’re out of the relationship you can finally see clear and recognize that you were created for better things. I thank God every day for delivering me from the abuse. ❤️❤️

you are never expose to get out of your car during a traffic stop. its a risk to the police officers when they already know he is considered to be violent. they have no idea if he has a weapon or if he was on any substances. the safest place for him to be is on the ground.

The request is most likely a mix of the training they receive, US police officers get about a tenth of the policing training that most other countries supply, in half of the time. He may have just messed up verbal orders

I see how some people are making light or even making fun of the victim for going back to an abuse. Hopefully none of you have had to go through domestic violence, being in the middle of it is hard to see how bad things are and how the abuser is manipulating you. Especially, when you have past relationships with abuse, you are dependent on the abuser and when you have family and friends calling you a liar. I will be the first to admit that I use to be insensitive and get frustrated with these situations but please try to understand the full extent to the issue. Try to help victims when you can and don't get mad at them for staying in abusive relationships.

I broke up with my ex bc he was abusive, I then blocked him on everything and had him removed from my home that I purchased b4 we were even together and had his stuff thrown out. I also had his name removed from being allowed into the security checkpoint from the gated community and have a restraining order against him. It only took one abusive behavior and control over me for me to completely end it and we’ve been together for over 1yr. I absolutely don’t accept any type of abuse and I certainly will nvr be abusive to my partner either and I have no problem cutting people out of my life. I say this bc I feel like some people are dependent to their abusive partner and that’s y they stay sometimes, but not me I am comfortable.

You guys need to stop making fun of abuse victims in these comments. It's called Stockholm Syndrome. Abusers make their victims feel like they're worthless and that the abuser is the best they can do. They think they can't live without that other person. So, while you make fun of her for possibly going back to him, maybe take some of that into consideration. They get mentally groomed to go back.

No, the officer told the guy to STAY in the car, the guy got out, the officer told him to get on the ground, the guy motioned to sit back in the car. This man just suffers from a crippling disease known as "lack of common sense". If you couldn't tell by him beating his girlfriend/wife/sister/whatever.

@@olorin1710 No. The guy opened his door. Cop said to STAY in the vehicle. Dude got out. When the officer says to STAY and you MOVE, you escalate the situation and re-entering the vehicle is not an option. That's where the man became cooperative.

He told the woman to stay in the car. When he said that the male tried to “jump back in the car” he was referring to when he tried to jump in the car and drive away when the cop pulled into the lot.

The cop witnessed him punching her with closed fists. Clearly he was the one doing the beating and he doesn’t have marks. It’s not female privilege when he’s stronger than her and hits her harder than she can or that women are 10X more likely to be victimized/killed by men. I feel so privileged that I have to fear being raped, beaten or killed just jogging around my neighborhood by a man. The next time you fear for your safety/life/being raped when a man approaches you in a parking lot at night let’s talk about privilege.
