Our strength and conditioning/ lineman coach in high school was a county sheriff that worked nights then went to the high school in the morning for lifting. You knew how his night went by his mood and how loud he would yell and how lenient he was. Our county is one of the worst in the state of Wisconsin for meth and heroin which leads to burglary’s, armed robbery, and other criminal and manipulation they can do to get that money or drugs. Most police don’t use an OD green uniform, in fact, lots of departments are so sensitive to leftists, they won’t even permit their officers wearing external body armour carriers because people are sissy’s that think it’s “militarized” or “military like” (which is bad why? And no military I’m aware of utilizes Soft Body Armour). In reality it’s to take the weight off of officers belts, which lead to back problems, and disperse some of it over the shoulders. This is common sense. I don’t see why people loose their minds when they see the police. They are not people to be scared of. They’re people you go to for help who’s job is preservation of life, and enforcement of law. Seems to me you hate the law, so no use explaining all this though.

The fact they receive Armoured Personnel Carriers for tactical or SWAT teams is a good thing. Why would you want tax payer money wasted on new vehicles and old armed forces vehicles thrown in the trash, when they can be handed over for free and reused. Seems like a colossal waste of money advocating they shouldn’t be doing that. The reason I brought up SBA is because people when they use terms like “militarized police” they think infantry soldiers, not the MP standing at the base gate. You’re taking this conversation in an entirely other direction. The police you probably swear by having speed through lights not responding to calls, well, fact is you don’t know what they were doing. It’s very likely they were responding to a call. You don’t need to be code 3 to be responding to a call. Speed traps? Like sitting on the side of the road with radar checking who’s speeding? Like contravening traffic laws? I don’t see what’s wrong with that. It’s called enforcing the law. There is also no such thing as quotas either so you’re very misinformed on policing. A very common myth.
