Thank you for this wonderful interview and cooking demo! I love Dr Goldhamer’s down to earth nature, authenticity, and sense of humor. I agree with Dr Goldhamer regarding the idea that we ALWAYS place our vote (make a statement to our world) whenever we purchase (and refuse to purchase) something. We are actually saying “I want MORE or LESS of “this”. When we leave it on the shelf no matter how cheap or easy it is to use, we are placing our “vote”. I am not volunteering to be big businesses garbage disposal anymore! I am doing my best to choose to be responsible for and value my own health with the things I ingest and invest in. I am grateful for “knowing” such high vibe people! With Infinite love and gratitude ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Always nice to listen to Dr. Goldhammer. Those kitchen skills were cracking me up. Each trip from the sink to the counter, you could see the water pouring out onto the flour. Then he rinses the cutting board and same thing. Aye Aye Aye! Looks exactly how my husband works in the kitchen. But appreciated when I don't have to do the cooking so i don't say a word. LOL.

Chef AJ, growing winter squash is one of the easiest things to grow. You just need to be mindful of having lots of sun and planting then early enough in the year. Many need a good 110 + days to ripen. There are tips online. NOTE: they need to ripen up to a few months after harvesting and be stored in a cool place with a constant temperature. The storage after harvesting is the hardest part for most hobby gardeners.

Chef AJ! Many thanks for your interviews and demos! I can’t tell you how encouraging and inspiring you are. I adore Dr Goldhamer and TrueNorth. I just spent 21 days there and got an amazing outcome. I wish everyone could experience it at least once. Meanwhile I’m trying to figure out how I can manage another trip back. :)

The coolest thing in his kitchen is the fruit draws - love it! I watch people's videos and look at the kitchens. I could not pay the electric bill to run most of them. Those giant fridges and freezers are extremely energy consuming! They'll be banned here, no doubt, in the near future. We had visitors from PA, USA here lately and we talked energy prices. Even with inflation it is far cheaper in the USA than here and always was, but our food products are still less at the moment. I use the oven a couple of times a year and not for a single item meal. Seems many people also have new or newer houses (people who make videos and post them).. Now and then I'll see what I consider a normal working person's kitchen. I saw an old Chef AJ video and she had what I considered a "normal" older kitchen. Life is quite different in the rest of the world, trust me.

@@pantameowmeow.s.1149 Thank you for your kind words. How interesting to hear where you live, I have never been to Berlin. I live in a terraced house in a nice but expensive part of the UK. We sit in sleeping bags instead of putting the heating on and youre right, literally every time i go to the supermarket, food has gone up again! Luckily whole food, plant based eating is relatively cheap. I dont even know how much meat costs...yikes! My kitchen is very small, the same as Chef AJs old one that you described. I think you get a much bigger property for your money in the US and fuel is massively cheaper! 💗

I guess by how often there's talk on these vegan channels about keeping whole nuts and seeds to a handful or two at the very most, lots of people have problems with weight if they were to eat any more than that? I probably eat four to five handfuls a day of nuts and seeds, and also several olives and typically a half of an avocado several days a week and I can still barely keep enough weight on. And I'm far from a spring chicken so presumably my metabolism isn't very high either. Anyway, I guess I just find it curious the frequent emphasis on minimization.

You are very lucky. I am guessing that you have never been substantially overweight. For the rest of us, it is a huge lifelong struggle. Dr. Lisle said once that he could eat fast food 3x a day for a year and only gain like 2-3 lbs. Many people could just read the menu of a fast food place 3x a day for a year and gain 2-3 lbs. (Joking of course but you get it). Eating it would have them gain 50-100 lbs.

I had to do a reintroduction of only 1 oz of nuts a day (along with my regular WFPB diet) for 14 days and gained 4 lbs. Took me over a month to get it back off.
@HidingFromFate
@HidingFromFate Жыл бұрын
@@Utube254 OK, that makes sense. I'll count myself as lucky then. The most I've ever been overweight is around 50lbs and that was for less than a year. More commonly 20 - 25lbs throughout much of my adult years.
@Utube254
@Utube254 Жыл бұрын
Just FYI: Chef AJ said in a show recently that she worked closely with Dr. Lisle and tried to add back in nuts and seeds in small amounts while keeping the rest of her diet the same. She only added seeds infrequently and gained 5 lbs really quickly and had to stop. It must have something to do with your metabolism and your body. I feel really badly for her (and understand her pain).

What if you have fairly severe dry, cracking and flaking eczema that doesn’t clear up after 15 days of water fasting? Could this indicate some kind of dysbiosis as opposed to food sensitivity?

Speaking of handing out candy to kids, how’s this for cognitive dissonance: went for a dental check-up earlier this month and the hygienist (otherwise a very sweet lady) tells me about how she’s handing out FULL-SIZED candy bars this year! 😳

No rice, broccoli, and red kidney beans? I thought that was all he ate - smile. He is a very tidy cook. I'm an apron person, I get water all over my tummy area when I wash things. One thing I notice on cooking demos is that a lot of people do not wash everything off. DId I miss something - didn't he just chop up he romaine and put it into the bowls?
