I was lucky to be in one of the gigs from this tour It was pure magic, the repertoire is amazing and the 3 of them perform at the top level One great cover Anneke does is Like a Stone of Audioslave, there are multiple recordings of that if you want to see it

Hi Christi, this tour is called "Six Strings and a Voice: an Evening with Anneke van Giersbergen and Marko HIetala". The evening consists of Marko and Tuomas Wäinölä doing some songs from Marko's solo album (Stones and Voice of My Father in Finnish), as well as a new song (Two Soldiers) from his upcoming album, and a couple of covers, e.g. Holy Diver (Dio). Then Anneke does a solo set with songs of her own, as well as Valley of the Queens (Ayreon) and Saturnine, & The May Song (The Gathering) and some more. The final part of the evening has the three of them on stage playing Catch the Rainbow (Rainbow cover), Wasted Years (Iron Maiden), I See Fire (Ed Sheeran), Strange Machines (The Gathering), The Islander (NIghtwish), Perry Mason (Ozzy Osbourne) and Sound of Silence (Simon & Garfunkel). There is no band, just the three of them playing acoustic guitars. Marko plays both bass guitar and this 12 string. Tuomas Wäinölä performs magic on his acoustic guitar.

Hi christi I love your reactions and comments to different artists. I wondered whether you have reacted to .another unique artist. KATE BUSH. FROM THE 1980S. ENGLISH .SHE WROTE SOME UNIQUE TUNES. THE ARTISTRY AND unique voice. Many songs but here's two good songs wuthering heights. , the man with the child in his eyes please please please listen to these songs. You will be blown away. Will catch up Saturday

Hi there and greetings from Finland. I wish you would check out a Finnish artist called Ida Elina. Her covers are just genius and she plays this ancient Finnish instrument called the Kantele with a modern twist. Thank you for your channel. I really enjoy your content and your taste in music. That Lady Gaga/Metallica performance was from the Grammys. I hope it was the rehearsal. I thought it was amazing being a fan of heavy music but can understand it being an assault on the senses 😂 The song Moth into Flame was inspired by the death of Amy Whinehouse. ......... I absolutely love this acoustic performance by Marko and Anneke. Listened to it a dozen times.

I FINALLY had the "chance" to see Nightwish on the recent USA tour... 7 hours away... No Marko... 22 year fan, couldn't get it to happen. If Marko was still there... "F" my job! Really, "F" the city they performed in, really don't wanna go there, big cities are not for me!

I have never heard a song with Anneke singing that was weak. Never. But I would never compare it to Lady Gaga. I'm not talking about musicians now, I'm writing about the singer, Anneke. Lady Gaga could carry her briefcase to school... 🤣 and Lady G. is a good singer anyway... but Anneke is better ❤❤
