How can they believe that the government has no authority over them, yet believe they're owed constitutional rights that must be upheld? The pick n choose government applications is outrageous.

Yes, that's what was throwing me, DB kept referring to his constitutional rights yet claiming to be a sovereign citizen and I wasn't understanding how that happens- well it still seems to be kind of an oxymoron

You think so? I think her whole closing argument was trash. Including the rebuttal. She should’ve talked about each victim that died especially the little boy. She should’ve brought him up specifically in the rebuttal because that scumbag was whining about not being able to meet and hold his son. She should’ve compared it. Her closing argument was complete garbage. She made more mistakes than darell made objections. It’s sad. This whole trial is just a joke. I feel so bad for the victims and their families.

It’s almost entirely law-based, not just Tragos reading compliments to himself and answering questions about unrelated stuff. Excellent commentary with your father on as well. The guy that did the look over of Brooks car can’t think of his name. Did bring up there were no recalls on this vehicle. Testified to that the throttle was perfectly fine and could not find anything wrong with it what so ever. So there was a time for Brooks to ask him questions about it. They talked about it first thing this morning

How can he claim he was running away from a knife when he knew there was no knife and didn’t find out about the knife until after he was arrested. His motive was total rage and someone was going to pay for him not being able to finish abusing his ex girlfriend. He made it blatantly obvious that the only reason he had the ex on the stand was to continue his abuse of her.

I find it fascinating that someone could say this DA could have done a better job. She was speaking to normal people not lawyers. She held their hand through every step of every crime and every purposeful act. If this jury can’t convict on every count it has absolutely zero to do with how they presented the case nor the closing. Darrell Brooks isn’t a sovereign citizen.he’s just spouting nonsense someone told him and that he can’t even understand

New sub here! I’ve been listening everyday and watching when I can.. brooks is a very conniving character. I think today was a complete circus and as patient as the judge has been she’s give him way too much leniency this whole time. I wish they could show the jury the stunts and his demeanor throughout.. there was times he stared down and even flinched his head in a threatening manner. If you’ve seen more than just the last couple hours of the trial you’d have to wonder what he’s done to his exes in the past... I can only imagine the abuse they’ve endured. I’m trying to have some faith in the jury but I think about the jury in the Casey Anthony trial and how everyone thought they’d definitely come back with a guilty verdict.. I wonder how many of the jury could have the same morals or lack of. Brooks ran that courtroom because the judge allowed it. Worried af right now..

Your dad mentioning the Chicago 7 is very interesting because to me that was a case of the judge abusing his discretion, because that judge was clearly racist and was only being that harsh towards the black defendant but not the others, who were behaving way worse but just so happened to be white. Your dad spoke about it in a very neutral way, I would be very interested to know if he felt it was justified or not, if there is another side to the story etc

You should do a poll on the number of people Brooks feels is responsible for all this. The ex, her friends, the victims for not moving out of the way, the parents who didn't seek immediate medical attention, the car manufacturer, God, the court, the judge, the state, the technology... the only one who wouldnt be on the list is Brooks himself

I stayed up with you until 1am my time last night for the closings, I am buggered today but not sorry. As part of the catchup crew it is so awesome to see your dad and you team up again for a stream, together you are a wealth of information. Well obviously the reddit thing is nonsense, it could even have be a tactic to call the jury into question (speculation). I agree that the state's closing could have been better but she did cover most of what I thought she should have, and I feel the stitched together video was effective. His closing was painful with a total lack of remorse, I am feel for his family, who have suffered because of his actions but I have absolutely no sympathy for him, what he did was reprehensible and he was the ONLY one who had the power to stop his actions at the time. I love the rebuttal short, sweet and hard hitting. I hope they lock him away and throw away the key.
