[LIVE] Shiny Charmander after 12,204 REs in Ultra Moon via Island Scan [Full odds]

6 жыл бұрынIt’s no secret that I love this feature and after a lengthy delay due to horrendous phase luck and going way over odds, here’s my first Island Scan target in Ultra Moon, Charmander!
This hunt honestly was really brutal and I’m glad it’s over so I can move on to more targets. I’ve been really busy with university and work so hunting has really taken a backseat over the past two months. I have some free time until April however so I’m hoping to get some more time in with my hunts. Still hunting Roaming Suicune of course!

nikolas_kieth_ 1011 you save go to the place where the pokemon is scan then run around till the time is over then soft reset. Rinse repeat

CharMillion 47 I’m not usually a full odds hunter it usually takes forever unless u have some crazy luck lmao I like chaining better and having a higher chance of finding one like MM SOS DexNav PokeRadar exc

Gratz! The reason it doesn’t show the dex entry is because Island Scan Pokémon aren’t native to Alola, so they don’t have entries.

Congrats Steve!!! Felt like I spent longer on my Island Scan Prinplup than I did on my degree and that was only 10,256. Great shiny too, happy for you man.

Major congrats! It's disappointing that it wasn't a girl after so many REs, but that's the second time (that I've seen while starting hunting) that someone's target was my nature ;w; That's really cool. Such a golden beauty~

My Current Island Scan hunt is a Rotom. I encounter 150 - 180 Pokemon every Island scan.

Hello! I have a question, with these island scan pokemons, how do you hunt them for so long if you only have an hour every 12 hours? Do you just change the date on the 3ds or is there some other strat im missing? Lol. Thanks in advance!

You reset once you've done your hour (providing you haven't found a shiny)

I'm using Masuda method with Shiny Charm, hatched over 1,500 and even got one with Pokerus.

Something I haven't quite understood, if you find a shiny that you don't want during the Island Scan do you knock it out/run and keep looking for the target or do you reset and start the island scan again?

It's honestly up to you. That's why repel tricking them is so important, because a repel trick gives you 70% change of your target Island Scan. I'd personally keep the shiny and just wait the 24 hours for the recharge of the Island Scan app than I would defeat or reset over a shiny (though I have done when it was Spearow and Pelipper, ew).

Alright that's fair enough then, just making sure i wasn't doing anything wrong, and yes I am using the repel trick as well. I just don't really like to wait, i'll try that next time it happens.
