Usability and functionality could be improved significantly by having your own app instead of relying on the limitations in Safari on iOS. Best examples -- zooming in/out, changing from front to back cameras and access to an external microphone. I understand that not having an app is better for casual users invited to a stream, but for those using the platform as a basis for engaging multiple user panels, an app would be better. Also would be great if these kinds of features in some leading iphone gimbals were supported as well.

I used Streamyard from my phone when I got Puddle the Duck 🦆 tattooed on my leg! It’s great if you are staying put in one place, but if you are walking around a festival or amusement park, the reception issues can be bad.

You can use StreamYard on your phone from your browser. You don’t need to download an app or anything. Your guests can also join on their phone. For Android, we recommend the Chrome browser. For iOS, only Safari will work. NOTE: iOS only has video on version 12.2+. Older versions are audio-only. For the best possible experience, we recommend that you and your guests both use a laptop/desktop. - Katie 🦆

3:39 will it be possible for StreamYard to allow us to upload MOV file ? I made a overlay banner but it was made As MOV because the high quality and it had animation/ movement. Because PNG doesn’t allow movement in banners and from my graphic designer explanation the quality is richer with MOV files rather then GIF.

Can’t keep it plugged in because I have my lav mic plugged in - but thankfully my phone is fairly new so no battery issues yet!

Hi Mel, I use my iphone when producing a live video from my model railway room. If I plug it in to the power chord how do I make sure I don’t get an echo? I normally run from my laptop and try to have a. couple of cameras running. Thanks Charlie

I use a logitec 920 and a Brio along with my iPhone and run them trhough my apple laptop.I usually invite the cell and turn the volume off and have plugged an earphone in. As Mel says, its a problem if your phone runs out of power . I assume if I go into settings for the webcams and turn off the audio then the only audio would be coming from my laptop unless I p[lug a Mic in?

Whatever appears in your SY settings as the mic will be what comes through. If not an external, SY will try to use the built-in. Whatever is your best quality mic is what we would suggest, you just don't want two microphones on in the same room, so what you're doing with the phone is great! - Katie 🦆

When live streaming from my phone, does the phone have to be vertical only, or can I stream with the phone held horizontally? I recorded a short video but it displayed sideways, lol!!

Hi. Why can't we change the camera resolution on iphones or ipads? It's like 470p or 720p. There is no option to change it in camera settings!

How come I can not use my rode wireless 2 microphone connected to my phone and be on streamyard. I can connect the rode wireless 2 if I just use the KZfaq app and go live. Why would I buy the streamyard app when it's difficult to set up an external mic when using the phone?

Hi there, the Rode Wireless 2 microphone does work with StreamYard. How do you have it connected? You need the Rode TRRS cable and the Apple dongle adapter. Once that is plugged in, you should be able to get a connection so that it picks up with StreamYard. If you are still having trouble, please let us know. - Julie 🦆

@@StreamYard hi Julie Love. I was using the rode sc16 cable to reduce noise, however I did have the cable you mentioned, I tried it, and it worked. Thank you. Now I'm going to buy the paid version of streamyard. That was my main issue.

@StreamYard thanks I tested anyway.. I use facebook live to share live feeds to our pick up basketball group, it shows 360p or source (filming with an s22+ and 4G). I tried your webpage to improve quality: it says 720p but the quality is ten times worse than directly from fb live..is there a fix?
