The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke at length on the war in Gaza during the World Economic Forum 2024 in Riyadh. While addressing the audience at the Forum, Blinken stated that Israel has offered a "generous deal" to Hamas in a potential negotiation bid to free hostages taken into Gaza on October 7, 2023. “Hamas has before it a proposal that is extraordinarily, extraordinarily generous on the part of Israel,” said Blinken. Furthermore, the top US diplomat also gave an update on the US-Saudi security pact for Israel normalisation, indicating that the deal is "nearing completion." It should be noted that this is Blinken's seventh visit to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia since Hamas struck Israel on October 7, 2023. Watch Firstpost's live coverage to know more.
