Getting that bass tone is so insanely hard in real life. This is honestly the best it's ever sounded live. Also: Jazz Deluxe active bass, volume dimed, switch to bridge pickup, played down by the bridge pickup,bass and treble cranked way up, annnnnnd...dunno about the mid knob, but looks like it's either dimed or half. That's the foundation right there.

no. this has been covered a lot of time even by chris himself. I've personally recreated this exact sound many times, it's easy when you know how/have the gear. It's a akai deep impact (incredibly rare and exspensive) sb-1, which is a bass evenlope filter/synth box into a old russian sovtek big muff pedal (1980s russian version of original ehx big muff pi fuzzbox). This is usually split before pedalboard, bi-amped and blended with the dry bass tone. He usually goes with a double markbass sd1200 through markbass 115 cabinets. .

Worked with the lead singers dad back in early 00s ( he was a plumber who had a number 1 hit with no words ) ...I can remember asking him if he had other kids , which he did ... I then asked if was as proud of them as he was his super star son ... he said yes 👏

Music changed a lot after 2010 so they felt down too. Their 2000's era was so good that made them so popular and great though. They still sell out like a few bands so they are one of the greatest for sure
