The Prius reverse beep is the most annoying thing about the vehicle. Beeping beeping beeping. It drives me crazy. In 60 seconds we are going to solve that problem.

I kind of like my fork truck reverse lol. I hated at first but it has saved me a few times when I was talking to someone while in reverse. Reminded me not to take my foot off the brake pedal or put it in neutral. 😂

My car beeps like that every time I start driving been going on for six months I ran over to fences ran into four garbage cans today out of just pure rage I seriously am about to start walking everywhere instead that’s how much this freaking noise is ruining my life.

@@LiveEasy i got somewhat used to it. And apparently the fuel Tank is different between American and European Models. Also, i've read that the American Prius 2 has no "EV" Button which forces it to only Drive electric as long as the battery has been charged enough?

@@IlIIlllIIIIIIl you barely get 1 Mile in the EV-mode of a Prius 2 and only if you are very gentle with the gas padel and only until around 30 MPH

2007 Prius…was able to switch to off… shut off power…but on next startup… reverse beep is back… did not work for me…unfortunately…

If you know anyone with the Toyota software you can do it that way as well. Or dealerships, many of them did it for free.

Reasons why the Prius has the beeping in the first place... Probably because the kind of people who buy Prius' are the kind of people who would forget they are in reverse and slam the accelerator down, sending them through the their local business' wall. These are the same type of people who drive with two feet, one on each petal... Or they mistake the wrong petal for the opposite petal (stepping on the gas while thinking it's the brake).

I think its annoying too, but honestly its save a lot of kids and adults around my car when im backing up because they ca rarely tell my car is on! So i now understand the feature 😅

That beeping was designed to save lives of pedestrians (including children) who can't hear a quiet Prius backing up.

not the same car, mine's a 2013 toyota noah van, and it beeps when reversing, overlapping the reverse sensor beeps and it's annoying as hell, gonna give this a try see if it work

Yes but only for phone calls. You’ll need a secondary device to use bluetooth for music. Maybe I should make a video about this

Have confidence in the fact that you’re making an intelligent decision based on what’s important to you. I laugh at Prius jokes if they’re good. I dont care. You can’t bully someone who’s not ashamed, believes in their decision, and is ready to argue point after point on how great the car is and how they’re buying into a narrative that keeps them afraid of something that’s genuinely awesome.

because when u reverse its using the electric motor. Since there is no engine noise there is no sound to warn people around. So beeping is for people to notice your car when you reverse. Kia EVs also have the same.
